2020 ITTF World Tour
The 2020 ITTF World Tour was the 25th season of the International Table Tennis Federation's professional table tennis world tour. The season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with only three events having taken place. The ITTF World Tour Grand Finals were replaced by the 2020 ITTF Finals, a one-off event featuring the top-ranked male and female players, as part of the International Table Tennis Federation's #RESTART series of events in November 2020. Points allocation Schedule The tournaments in the 2020 tour were split into two tiers: World Tour Platinum and World Tour. The Platinum events offered higher prize money and more points towards the ITTF World Tour standings, which would have determined the qualifiers for the ITTF World Tour Grand Finals in December. Fan Zhendong
Fan Zhendong (; born 22 January 1997) is a Chinese professional table tennis player who is currently ranked world No. 1 for men's singles by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). After joining the Chinese National Table Tennis Team in 2012 as the youngest member of the team, he went on to become the youngest ITTF World Tour Champion and the youngest World Table Tennis Champion. He achieved the top spot in the world rankings after holding position No. 2 for 29 consecutive months, starting from November 2015. Hungarian Open (table Tennis)
The Hungarian Open is an annual table tennis tournament held in Hungary by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). It is currently part of the ITTF World Tour. History The Hungarian Open was first included on the ITTF Pro Tour schedule in 2010. It returned to the schedule in 2012 as part of the rebranded ITTF World Tour, and after not appearing in 2013 the tournament made its second return in 2014 as part of the new third-tier Challenge Series. Aspire Dome
The Aspire Dome is an indoor multi-purpose arena based in Qatar. It is located in the Aspire Academy in Doha and has the capacity to host 13 different sporting events simultaneously in a climate controlled arena, in addition to a full-sized indoor football pitch.
