2020 BMW PGA Championship
The 2020 BMW PGA Championship was the 66th edition of the BMW PGA Championship, an annual golf tournament on the European Tour, which was originally due to be held 10–13 September at the West Course of Wentworth Club in Virginia Water, Surrey, England, a suburb southwest of London. On 28 May, the European Tour announced a new revised schedule in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic which rescheduled the tournament to 15–18 October. In August, the tournament was brought forward one week in the schedule to allow for culmination of a second, unofficial "UK Swing", starting with the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open and the Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open. The tournament was played from 8–11 October. Tyrrell Hatton won the tournament with a score of 269, 19-under-par, after a final round 67. He finished four strokes ahead of Victor Perez. 2020 European Tour
The 2020 European Tour was the 49th season of golf tournaments since the European Tour officially began in 1972 and the 12th edition of the Race to Dubai. The COVID-19 pandemic had a major impact on the season, with many tournaments being rescheduled or cancelled. All four major championships were affected; The Open Championship was cancelled, and the Masters Tournament, U.S. Open and PGA Championship were moved to dates much later in the year. After a three-month hiatus following the Qatar Masters in early March, the tour resumed with a much changed schedule in July. Two dual-ranking events in Austria were followed by six-tournament stretch in the United Kingdom and three tournaments in Spain and Portugal, with the rescheduled major events starting in late September. Andrew Thomas Johnston (born 18 February 1989) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He has one win on the European Tour, which came at the 2016 Open de España. Known affectionately as 'Beef' since his youth, he has carried the nickname into his professional career, and is a popular character amongst the crowd. Scott Hend
Scott Robert Hend (born 1973) is an Australian professional golfer who has played on a number of the world's main tours. He is renowned as a long hitter. Professional career Hend turned professional in 1997 and joined the PGA Tour of Australasia. He has since played on most of the major golf tours around the world. He has won three times in Australia, and was the inaugural winner of the Von Nida Tour Order of Merit in 2003. He has also won on the Canadian Tour, at the 2002 Victoria Open. Ryan Fox (born 22 January 1987) is a New Zealand professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and PGA Tour of Australasia. Professional career Fox turned professional in 2012 and played on the 2012 PGA Tour of Australasia. Edward Louis Pepperell (born 22 January 1991) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. In February 2018, he won his first European Tour event at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. In October 2018, he won his second European Tour event at the Sky Sports British Masters.
