2019–20 Washington Huskies Men's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 Washington Huskies men's basketball team represented the University of Washington in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Huskies, led by third-year head coach Mike Hopkins, played their home games at Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion in Seattle, Washington as members of the Pac-12 Conference. They finished the season 15–17, 5–13 in Pac-12 play to finish in last place. They lost in the first round of the Pac-12 tournament to Arizona. Mike Hopkins (basketball)
Michael Griffith Hopkins (born August 6, 1969) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach for the Washington Huskies men's team of the Pac-12 Conference. He was a longtime assistant at Syracuse University before taking over for Washington in 2017. The 6-foot-5 Hopkins, from Laguna Hills, California, was a fan favorite during his playing days at Syracuse, known for his all-out hustle and general scrappy play. High school career Born in the Northern California city of San Mateo and raised in the Southern California city of Laguna Hills, Hopkins was a member of the 1987 California state championship team at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California that also featured future NBA player LeRon Ellis. The 2019 Pac-12 Conference men's basketball tournament presented by New York Life was a postseason men's basketball tournament for the Pac-12 Conference played from March 13–16, 2019, at T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. No. 6 seed Oregon Ducks upset No. 1 seed Washington 68–48 in the championship, receiving the conference's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA tournament. Quade Green (born May 12, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Centauros de Portuguesa of the Superliga Profesional de Baloncesto (SPB). He played college basketball for the Washington Huskies and the Kentucky Wildcats. High school career Green attended Saints John Neumann and Maria Goretti Catholic High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he won four consecutive Pennsylvania Class 3A state championships. Noah Dickerson (born February 1, 1997) is an American basketball player for Starwings Basel of the Swiss Basketball League (SBL). He played college basketball for the Washington Huskies. David Crisp Jr. (born September 27, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for Randers Cimbria of the Basketligaen. He played college basketball for the Washington Huskies of the Pac-12 Conference. Crisp was selected by the Stockton Kings in the second round of the 2019 G-League draft.
