2019–20 Regional Super50
The 2019–20 Regional Super50 was the 46th edition of the Regional Super50, the domestic limited-overs cricket competition for the countries of the Cricket West Indies (CWI). The tournament started on 6 November 2019, with the final taking place on 1 December 2019. The tournament featured the six regular teams of West Indian domestic cricket (Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, the Leeward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Windward Islands), the Combined Campuses and Colleges team and the West Indies Emerging Team. The national teams of the United States and Canada also took part. Combined Campuses and Colleges were the defending champions. Following the conclusion of the group stage matches, Barbados, the Leeward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago and the West Indies Emerging Team had progressed to the semi-finals. Cricket West Indies
Cricket West Indies (CWI) is the governing body for cricket in the West Indies (a sporting confederation of over a dozen mainly English-speaking Caribbean countries and dependencies that once formed the British West Indies). It was originally formed in the early 1920s as the West Indies Cricket Board of Control, but changed its name to West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) in 1996. In November 2015, the Board resolved to rename itself as Cricket West Indies as part of a restructuring exercise that would also see the creation of a separate commercial body. Jonathan Lyndon Carter (born 16 November 1987) is a Barbadian cricketer who currently plays for Barbados. He is a big-hitting left-handed batsman who also bowls right-arm medium pace. He made his international debut for the West Indies in January 2015. Carter first played for Barbados in 2007 in a List A match against West Indies Under-19s. He has represented West Indies A. He averages around 30 in first-class cricket currently. He made his One Day International debut for the West Indies against South Africa on 16 January 2015. Shamar Springer (born 26 November 1997) is a Barbadian cricketer. He made his List A debut on 16 January 2015 in the 2014–15 Regional Super50 tournament. In December 2015 he was named in the West Indie's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his first-class debut for Barbados in the 2017–18 Regional Four Day Competition on 14 December 2017. Javon Ramon Searles (born 21 December 1986) played seven matches for West Indies at Under 19 level, including four matches in the 2006 U-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka. Roshon Primus (born 14 August 1995) is a Barbadian cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Trinidad and Tobago in the 2016–17 Regional Four Day Competition on 11 November 2016. Kjorn Yohance Ottley (born in 9 December, 1989) is a Trinidadian cricketer who has played for both Trinidad and Tobago and the Combined Campuses and Colleges in West Indian domestic cricket. He made his international debut for the West Indies cricket team in January 2021. Kyle Rico Mayers (born 8 September 1992) is a Barbadian cricketer. He plays international cricket for West Indies cricket team in all formats. Nicholas Kirton (born 6 May 1998) is a Barbadian cricketer. Chemar Keron Holder (born 3 March 1998) is a Barbadian cricketer who has played for the Combined Campuses and Colleges in West Indian domestic cricket. Miguel Lamar Cummins (born 5 September 1990) is a Barbadian cricketer who has played in 14 Test matches and 11 One Day Internationals (ODI) for the West Indies. At domestic level, he plays for Barbados. He has played for both Antigua Hawksbills, Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and Middlesex. Early career From Saint Michael Parish, Cummins attended Parkinson Memorial Secondary School, best known as the high school attended by Malcolm Marshall.
