2019 Speedway Grand Prix Of Poland
The 2019 BOLL Warsaw FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Poland was the first race of the 2019 Speedway Grand Prix season. It took place on May 18 at the Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw, Poland. Riders First reserve Robert Lambert replaced the injured Maciej Janowski, while second reserve Max Fricke replaced Greg Hancock. The Speedway Grand Prix Commission nominated Bartosz Smektała as the wild card, and Dominik Kubera and Rafał Karczmarz both as Track Reserves. Results The Grand Prix was won by Leon Madsen, who beat Fredrik Lindgren, Patryk Dudek and Niels-Kristian Iversen in the final. It was the Madsen's first ever Grand Prix win, on what was his first ever start as a regular member of the Grand Prix series. Dudek had initially top scored with 13 points during the qualifying heats, and despite finishing third in the final, he topped the overall standings with 16 points, one ahead of Lindgren. Artem Grigoryevich Laguta (russian: Артём Григорьевич Лагута; born 13 November 1990) is a Russian motorcycle speedway rider and member of the Russian national team. He is the 2021 World Champion. Jason Kevin Doyle (born 6 October 1985) is an Australian motorcycle speedway rider. He became World Champion in 2017. He won the 2015 Australian Solo Championship. He has also won the South Australian Championship in 2014, and the Elite League Riders' Championship and the Master of Speedway meeting in Germany in 2015. Doyle is a member of the Australia national speedway team and represented his country in the Speedway World Cup. Tai Woffinden (born 10 August 1990) is a British motorcycle speedway, speedway rider. He is a three-time Speedway World Championship, World Champion (2013 Speedway Grand Prix, 2013, 2015 Speedway Grand Prix, 2015 and 2018 Speedway Grand Prix, 2018). Emil Damirovich Sayfutdinov (russian: link=no, Эмиль Дамирович Сайфутдинов; born 26 October 1989) is a Russian motorcycle speedway rider and member of the Russia national speedway team. Matej Žagar (born 3 April 1983 in Ljubljana, Slovenia) is a Slovenian motorcycle speedway rider who was won two Individual Speedway European Champion titles in 2004 and 2008. Martin Vaculík (born 5 April 1990) is a Slovak motorcycle speedway rider who is riding for the Stal Gorzów Wielkopolski in the Speedway Ekstraliga, Polish Speedway Ekstraliga. Antonio Lindbäck (born 5 May 1985 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a former international motorcycle speedway rider who competed in the Speedway World Championship, finishing eighth in 2016, and was a member of the Swedish team who won the Speedway World Cup in 2004 and 2015. Career highlights Lindbäck made his international debut in 2004 with firstly a wild card ride in the Speedway Grand Prix series but he made a bigger impression in the Speedway World Cup riding for the Swedish team.
