Jason Doyle
Jason Kevin Doyle (born 6 October 1985) is an Australian motorcycle speedway rider. He became World Champion in 2017. He won the 2015 Australian Solo Championship. He has also won the South Australian Championship in 2014, and the Elite League Riders' Championship and the Master of Speedway meeting in Germany in 2015. Doyle is a member of the Australia national speedway team and represented his country in the Speedway World Cup. He is also the 2016, 2017, 2019 Czech Republic Grand Prix winner, taking his maiden victory on 26 June 2016, at Prague's Markéta Stadium. He became only the third rider in history to win three Grands Prix in a row when he won in Gorzow, Teterow and Stockholm before breaking his elbow, dislocating his shoulder and injuring both his lungs after crashing in his first ride in the penultimate Grand Prix of the season in Torun, Poland. Premier League Knockout Cup
The Premier League Knockout Cup was a motorcycle speedway Knockout Cup competition in the United Kingdom between 1995 and 2016, governed by the Speedway Control Bureau (SCB). History The teams from the Premier League, the top tier of league racing between 1995 and 1996 competed in the competition before they switched to the Elite League Knockout Cup. The second tier teams then exclusively competed in the competition from 1997 until 2016. Similar competitions were staged between teams in the two divisions of the British League. The South Australian Individual Speedway Championship (commonly known as the ''South Australian Solo Championship'', often shortened to ''SA Solo Title'') is a Motorcycle speedway championship held annually in the Australian state of South Australia to determine the South Australian Champion. The event is organised by the Speedway Riders' Association of South Australia Inc (SRA). and is sanctioned by Motorcycling Australia (MA). Australian Solo Championship
The Australian Solo Championship is a motorcycle speedway championship held each year to determine the Australian national champion. It is organised by Motorcycling Australia (MA) and is the oldest continuously running national speedway championship in the world having been run since 1926 with the exception of 1942-1945 when racing was suspended during World War II and 1955-1961 when the championship was not held. The first Australian Solo Championship in 1926 was held at the Newcastle Showground in Newcastle. It was won by American rider Cecil Brown from Mick Brennan and Roy Hindle. Legendary Danish rider Ole Olsen (1976) and Australia's own Jason Crump (2007) are the only riders who have won the championship while being the reigning Speedway World Champion. 2017 Speedway Grand Prix
The 2017 Speedway Grand Prix season was the 23rd season of the Speedway Grand Prix era, and decided the 72nd FIM Speedway World Championship. It was seventeenth series under the promotion of Benfield Sports International, an IMG company. The world title was won by Jason Doyle, who finished ahead of debutant Patryk Dudek and former two-time champion Tai Woffinden. It was the first title of Doyle's career, and the first time an Australian had lifted the trophy since Chris Holder in 2012. Defending champion Greg Hancock was unable to complete the season after suffering an injury, competing in only six of the 12 rounds. Rospiggarna is a motorcycle speedway team based in Hallstavik, Sweden. The club was founded in 1930 and were named ''Orion'', although it did not compete in the Swedish speedway leagues until 1966. The club joined the Swedish Division Three in 1966 and the team name was changed to ''Stjärnorna'' (English: The Stars). In 1978 the name was changed again to Rospiggarna which is the demonym for people from Roslagen, where Hallstavik is situated. Rospiggarna have won four Elitserien (speedway), Elitserien Championships and has also been the home team of 4 former Speedway World Championship, World Champions, Tony Rickardsson, Per Jonsson, Greg Hancock and Jason Crump. Dackarna
Dackarna is a speedway club from MÃ¥lilla in Sweden who compete in the Swedish Elitserien. Their home track is at the Skrotfrag Arena which has been used as the venue for the Grand Prix of Scandinavia since 2005. History The team was founded in May 1935 as MÃ¥lilla Motorklubb and in 1949 renamed itself Dackarna (in honour of Nils Dacke) and the club began league racing. Dackarna raced in the highest level of league racing in Sweden between 1951 and 1965, winning the league championship in 1957, 1958, 1959, and 1962, and finished as runners-up in 1956 and 1964. Dackarna switched between the first and second league for the next 30 years until 1997 when the team received the backing of a major new sponsor (Svelux) and were renamed Team Svelux. Svelux were taken over by Luxo in 2002 and the team name was changed to Luxo Stars. In 2006 the sponsorship deal expired and the team name reverted to Dackarna.
