The 2019 PSL season is the seventh season of the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) which began on February 16, 2019. It will feature the Philippine national team, two PSL selection teams ( Team Shine and Team Sparkle) and the women's team of the University of Tsukuba of Japan. The tournament was organized as part of the Philippine national team's participation in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games. Petron Blaze Spikers
The Petron Blaze Spikers were a professional women's volleyball team that played in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) from 2013 to 2020. After the cancellation of the 2020 season of the PSL due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the team took a leave of absence from the league and released all its players. The team was owned by Petron Corporation. The company's involvement in volleyball began in 2002 when it established the Petron Ladies Beach Volleyball Tournament. Team history Petron became the first team to sweep a PSL tournament with a 13–0 record and claim the 2015 All-Filipino championship, its second consecutive PSL title. At their stint in the 2015 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship in Ha Nam, Vietnam, the team finished at 8th place with only one game won out of six matches played. Kseniya Poznyak (née Kovalenko; born 21 November 1986) is a Belarusian-born Azerbaijani former professional volleyball player. She represented Azerbaijan women's national team on international level and was part of the squad at the 2006 and 2018 FIVB World Championships, as well as 6 editions of the European Championship (2005, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017). Career Azerbaijani Volleyball Clubs Koçyiğit's professional career debuted in 2003 with Azerrail Baku. She won five Azerbaijan Championships and also played at the 2006–2007 Champions League where she won the ''Best Blocker'' award. She stayed with the club until 2008. Foton Tornadoes
The Foton Tornadoes were a professional women's volleyball team in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). The team was owned by United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI). History The team debuted in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) during the 2014 Grand Prix as Foton Tornadoes. The original Foton team would be renamed as the Chery Tiggo Crossovers heading the 2020 season. Chery joined the professional PVL in 2021. In June 2023, the revival of the Foton Tornadoes team was announced. They played alongside with Chery at the 2023 PVL Invitational Conference At least seven Chery players moved to Foton. Generika-Ayala Lifesavers
The Generika Ayala Lifesavers are a professional women's volleyball team owned by Actimed, Inc. (Generika Drugstore) in partnership with Ayala Corporation. History Generika Drugstore first became involved in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) when it sponsored the Philippine Army Lady Troopers during the 2014 All-Filipino Conference, playing as the "Generika-Army Lady Troopers". For the following conference, the company formed its own team composed of the coaching staff and most of the players from the disbanded AirAsia Flying Spikers. The franchise did not participate during the 2015 season and remnants of the team went on to form the nucleus of the Shopinas.com Lady Clickers. Tyler-Marie Kalei Mau (born March 10, 1995) is a professional Filipino-American volleyball player. She is currently a member of the Philippines women's national volleyball team, Philippines women's national team. She debuted in the Philippines with the United Volleyball Club (originally known as the Cocolife Asset Managers, COCOLIFE Asset Managers) in the Philippine Super Liga. The United VC was a professional women's volleyball team in the Philippine Superliga (PSL). Established in 2017, the club debuted under the sponsorship of United Coconut Planters Life Assurance Corporation (COCOLIFE) and played as the COCOLIFE Asset Managers from the 2017 to 2018 seasons. Stephanie Niemer (born September 3, 1989) is a female American volleyballer, playing as an Outside Hitter. Career After three years in Puerto Rico, Stefani Niemer in 2014 traveled for first time in Europe, signing in French ASPTT Mulhouse.
