2019 Men's FIH Pro League
The 2019 Men's FIH Pro League was the first season of the Pro League, the premier men's field hockey national team league series. The tournament started in January 2019 and finished in June 2019 in Amstelveen, Netherlands. Australia defeated Belgium 3–2 in the final to win the first FIH Pro League title. The competition also served as a qualifier for the 2020 Summer Olympics with the four best teams qualifying for the FIH Olympic Qualifiers taking place in October and November 2019. Qualification Nine teams competed in a round-robin tournament with home and away matches, played from January to June, with the top four teams advancing to the final at the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands. In July 2017, Hockey India decided to withdraw the men's national team from the competition as they estimated the chances of qualifying for the Summer Olympics to be higher when participating in the Hockey Series. Blake Govers
Blake Govers (born 6 July 1996) is an Australian field hockey player who plays as a forward for the NSW Pride in the Hockey One, Hockey One League and the Australia men's national field hockey team, Australian national team. He is the younger brother of former international hockey player Kieran Govers. He coaches a group of young female athletes at the Southern River Hockey Club, based in the south of Perth, WA. International career He competed in the Field hockey at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Men's tournament, men's field hockey tournament at the 2016 Summer Olympics and in the 2018 Men's Hockey World Cup. Alexander Robby Hendrickx (born 6 August 1993) is a Belgian field hockey player who plays for Dutch club Pinoké and the Belgian national team as a defender. Playing with thY1 HockeyLTD X, Hendrickx won 'top goal scorer' at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He also won a gold medal with his team for Belgium. Maxime Georges Alexandre Plennevaux (born 14 June 1993) is a Belgian field hockey player who plays as a forward for Orée. Club career Plennevaux started playing hockey at Waterloo Ducks who he left for Royal Léopold when he was 17 years old. He left Léopold in 2017 for Real Club de Polo in the Spanish División de Honor. Field Hockey At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Men's Tournament
The men's field hockey tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics was the 24th edition of the field hockey event for men at the Summer Olympic Games. It was held from 24 July to 5 August 2021. All games were played at the Oi Hockey Stadium in Tokyo, Japan. It was originally scheduled to be held from 25 July to 6 August 2020, but on 24 March 2020, the Olympics were postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Great Britain Men's National Field Hockey Team
The Great Britain men's national field hockey team represents the United Kingdom in Olympic field hockey tournaments. The team won gold at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp and the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. The team won the 2017 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.
