2019 Men's FIH Olympic Qualifiers
The 2019 Men's FIH Olympic Qualifiers was the final stage of the qualification for the men's field hockey event at the 2020 Summer Olympics. It was held in October and November 2019. Format In the first part of the qualification, the five continental champions automatically gained an Olympic berth, where they were joined by the hosts, Japan. Originally, twelve teams were to take part in the Olympic qualifying events. These teams were to be drawn into six pairs; each pair playing a two-match, aggregate score series, and the winner of each series qualifying for the Olympics. As Japan won the 2018 Asian Games (thereby qualifying twice, once as host and once as Asian champions), there instead were 14 teams, seven of whom qualified. Alan Forsyth (born 5 April 1992) is a Scottish field hockey player who plays as a forward for HGC and the Scotland and Great Britain national teams. He is the son of Derek Forsyth, the head coach of Scotland. Club career Forsyth plays club hockey in the Dutch Hoofdklasse for Dutch club HGC. Russia Men's National Field Hockey Team
The Russia men's national field hockey team represents Russia in international field hockey competitions. In response to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the FIH banned Russia from the 2022 Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, and banned Russian and Belarusian officials from FIH events. In addition, the European Hockey Federation banned the participation of all Russian athletes and officials from all events sanctioned by the Federation. Tournament record Russia has never qualified for the World Cup or the Summer Olympics. Robbert Kemperman
Robbert Huib Kemperman (; born 24 June 1990) is a Dutch field hockey player who plays as a midfielder for Hoofdklasse club Amsterdam. He played a total of 228 matches for the Dutch national team and scored 52 goals. He played in three Olympic Games and three World Cups. International career At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed for the national team in the men's tournament, where he won a silver medal. Bjorn Kellerman
Bjorn Kellerman (born 25 May 1990) is a Dutch former field hockey player who played as a forward. Club career Kellerman started playing hockey at Zeewolde. He then played for Amersfoort and in 2009 he moved to SCHC. After three seasons with SCHC he made a transfer to Rotterdam. With Rotterdam he won their first national title in the 2012–13 season. In 2015, he moved to Kampong, where he won the Euro Hockey League in his first season. In January 2022, he announced he would leave Kampong after seven years at the end of the season.
