2018–19 Ohio State Buckeyes Men's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 Ohio State Buckeyes men's basketball team represented Ohio State University in the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Their head coach was Chris Holtmann, in his second season with the Buckeyes. The Buckeyes played their home games at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio as members of the Big Ten Conference. Chris Holtmann
Christopher Adam Holtmann (born November 11, 1971) is an American college basketball coach who is currently the head coach at Ohio State University. Holtmann grew up in Nicholasville, Kentucky, and started his college playing career in-state at Brescia College in Owensboro. After two seasons, he transferred to Taylor University, where he played for his final two seasons. In 1994, his senior year, he earned All-America honors and Taylor hit number one in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) rankings. Holtmann got his start in coaching as a graduate assistant at Taylor in 1997. The next year, he became an assistant coach at Geneva College, then returned to his alma mater as an assistant in 1999. Holtmann joined Gardner-Webb's staff in 2002 and spent the next five seasons there, first as an assistant coach and then as associate head coach. 2017–18 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Season
The 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 10, 2017. The first tournament was the 2K Sports Classic and the season ended with the Final Four in San Antonio on April 2, 2018. Practices officially began on September 29, 2017. Rule changes The following rule changes were proposed for the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season: * Expanding the coaches' box from 28 feet to 38 feet. * Resetting the shot clock to 20 seconds when the ball is inbounded in the front court after a foul or violation (ex. kicked ball) by the defense. Zionsville is a suburban town located in the extreme southeast area of Boone County, Indiana, United States, northwest of Indianapolis. Pickerington is a city in Fairfield County, Ohio, Fairfield and Franklin County, Ohio, Franklin counties in the central region of the U.S. state of Ohio. It was founded in 1815 as Jacksonville, named after Andrew Jackson. Jae'Sean Tate (born October 28, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Micah Potter (born April 6, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA), on a two-way contract with the Salt Lake City Stars of the NBA G League. The 2017–18 Gonzaga Bulldogs men's basketball team represented Gonzaga University in the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season.
