The 2018–19 Continental Cup was the 22nd edition of the IIHF Continental Cup, Europe's second-tier ice hockey club competition organised by International Ice Hockey Federation. The season started on 28 September 2018 and the final tournament was played from 11 to 13 January 2019. Arlan Hockey Club ( kk, Арлан хоккей клубы, ''Arlan Kókshetaý hokkeı klýby''), commonly referred as Arlan Kokshetau, is a professional ice hockey team based in Kokshetau, Kazakhstan. Founded in 2009, they play in the Kazakhstan Hockey Championship, the top level of ice hockey in Kazakhstan. Erste Liga (ice Hockey)
The Erste Liga (formerly the MOL Liga) is an international ice hockey league organized for clubs based in Hungary and Romania. It is sponsored by the Erste Bank Hungary. The games played between the Hungarian teams count towards the Hungarian National Championship in the OB I Bajnokság. The Romanian teams also compete in the Romanian National Championship Liga Naţională. History In the first season, the league comprised six Hungarian teams and four Romanian teams. HC Csíkszereda went undefeated in the post-season to win the first MOL Liga title. In 2009–10, the number of teams went down to five Hungarian and two Romanian teams. Following the regular season, they decided the winner in a final four system. The Budapest Stars met Újpesti TE in the final, after they beat SC Csíkszereda and DAB-Docler, respectively. Irbis-Skate Sofia
Irbis-Skate Sofia ( bg, Спортен клуб ИРБИС-СКЕЙТ) is a Bulgarian ice hockey team based in Sofia and compete in the Bulgarian Hockey League. Irbis-Skate Sofia was founded in 2012 and joined the Bulgarian Hockey League for the 2015–16 season. The club won the 2015–16 season and the 2016 Bulgarian Cup and as a result qualified for the 2016–17 IIHF Continental Cup. History Irbis-Skate Sofia was founded in August 2012 and initially competed in small tournaments and exhibition matches against Bulgarian Hockey League teams. The club also formed minor ice hockey teams to compete in competitions before entering their under-12 team into the national championship for the 2013–14 season. Hockey Club Donbass ( uk, Хокейний Клуб Донбас; russian: link=no, Хоккейный Клуб Донбасс, '' tr. The National Ice Hockey League ( es, Liga Nacional de Hockey sobre Hielo) is the top men's ice hockey league in Spain. Its governing body is the Royal Spanish Ice Sports Federation. History Liga Nacional de Hockey Hielo was established in 1972 as the ''Superliga Española de Hockey Hielo''. There were six founding teams which participated in the first season, 1972–73: Real Sociedad, CH Jaca, CH Valladolid, CG Puigcerdà, CH Madrid and CF Barcelona. In 2011, the league was composed of eight teams, but due to financial problems in almost all clubs, the league has reduced the number of participants year after year until only five of them were left. The Slovenian Hockey League is the highest level ice hockey league in Slovenia. The championship phase is contested after the regular season to determine the national champion. History The Slovenian Hockey League was firstly contested in the 1991–92 season, with the championship being held at the end as the play-offs. Over time, some Slovenian teams entered the Austrian Hockey League, and joined only for the play-offs. In the 2007–08 season there was an issue, as the Croatian team Medveščak qualified for the play-offs. KHK Red Star
Sportski klub za hokej na ledu Crvena zvezda is an ice hockey club from Belgrade, Serbia, currently playing in the International Hockey League and the Serbian Hockey League. The club is a part of the SD Crvena Zvezda sports association. SKHL Crvena zvezda was established in 1946 and played in the Yugoslav Ice Hockey League until 1991.
