2018 Women's World Team Squash Championships
The 2018 Women's World Team Squash Championships was the women's edition of the 2018 World Team Squash Championships, which serves as the world team championship for squash players. The event held in Dalian, China took place from 11 to 19 September 2018. The tournament was organized by the World Squash Federation and the Chinese Squash Association. The Egypt team won its fourth World Team Championships, beating the England team in the final. Participating teams 16 teams competed in these world championships from all of the five confederations: Africa, America, Asia, Europe and Oceania. Dalian
Dalian () is a major sub-provincial port city in Liaoning province, People's Republic of China, and is Liaoning's second largest city (after the provincial capital Shenyang) and the third-most populous city of Northeast China. Hollie Naughton
Hollie Naughton, (born October 21, 1994, in Barnsley) is a Canadian professional squash player. She reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 16 in January 2022. In 2016, she won her first Canadian Nationals title. She competed at the 2015 Pan American Games, where she won a silver medal in the team event, and at the 2019 Pan American Games, where she won a bronze medal in the singles event. On 3 August 2022, Naughton won silver in the women's singles at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, beaten 3-1 by England's Georgina Kennedy. Raneem Mohamed Yasser Saad El Din El Welily ( ar, رنيم محمد ياسر سعد الدين الوليلي; born 1 January 1989, in Alexandria, Egypt) is a former professional squash player from Egypt. She has reached a career-high world ranking of No. 1 in September 2015. She is a three-time finalist at the World Open, in 2014, 2016, and 2019/2020. She became the World Champion in 2017, after defeating Nour El Sherbini in the finals. Nouran Ahmed Gohar ( ar, نوران أحمد جوهر; born 30 September 1997 in Egypt) is a professional squash player who represents Egypt. She reached a career-high world ranking of No. 1 in July 2020. Career She lifted her first Tour title at the Prague Open in December 2013 at 16 years of age, where she played to her seeding to see off Lucie Fialová to triumph. Nour El Sherbini
Nour El Sherbini ( ar, نور الشربيني; born 1 November 1995) is an Egyptian professional squash player. She is a six time World champion and became the youngest woman to win the Women's World Championship (2015). In 2016, she retained her title and in 2019 won her third World Championship equalling the feat of Michelle Martin and rising to equal fourth in the all-time list of world championships won.
