2018 PSL Invitational Cup
The 2018 Chooks-to-Go PSL Invitational Cup was the third conference and second indoor volleyball tournament of the Philippine Super Liga's sixth season. The tournament commenced on June 23, 2018 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City. As with the 2017 Invitational, the tournament used an all-to-play format to give playing time for every player in each team. Petron Blaze Spikers
The Petron Blaze Spikers were a professional women's volleyball team that played in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) from 2013 to 2020. After the cancellation of the 2020 season of the PSL due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the team took a leave of absence from the league and released all its players. The team was owned by Petron Corporation. The company's involvement in volleyball began in 2002 when it established the Petron Ladies Beach Volleyball Tournament. Team history Petron became the first team to sweep a PSL tournament with a 13–0 record and claim the 2015 All-Filipino championship, its second consecutive PSL title. At their stint in the 2015 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship in Ha Nam, Vietnam, the team finished at 8th place with only one game won out of six matches played. Rachel Anne Daquis
Rachel Anne Lopez Daquis (born December 13, 1987) is a Filipino volleyball player. She graduated from the Far Eastern University where she took up Business Management. She was also the team captain of the PLDT HOME TVolution women's team that played in the 2014 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship. She is a former team captain of the FEU Lady Tamaraws in her collegiate years, where she was given the title "Queen Tamaraw". She played in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) with the Cignal HD Spikers and is the PSL's brand ambassador for 2018 to 2019. In 2020, her team Cignal HD Spikers transfers to Premier Volleyball League. Career Daquis entered the volleyball scene when she was still in high school in Juan Sumulong Memorial Junior College in Rizal. Godfrey Okumu
Godfrey Owese Okumu is a Kenyan volleyball coach. He is also a former player who has played for the Kenyan national volleyball team. Okumu is a native of Nyanza. Playing career As a player, Okumu played for various clubs as well as the Kenyan men's national volleyball team from 1990 to 2003. After his retirement, he moved to Japan.He worked as an English teacher in the Kumamoto Prefecture in 2002 before coaching. Coaching career Godfrey Okumu is a holder of a FIVB Level 3 coaching certificate and is a member of the Japanese Society of Volleyball Research. The PLDT High Speed Hitters (formerly the Smart Giga Hitters and the PLDT Home Fibr Power Hitters) is the professional women's volleyball team owned by PLDT. History The team debuted in 2018 as the Smart Prepaid Giga Hitters. The team was owned by Smart Communications. Frances Xinia Dionisio Molina (born September 23, 1994) is a Filipino volleyball player. She currently plays as an outside hitter for the Cignal HD Spikers in the Premier Volleyball League. She played with the Philippine Super Liga All-Stars in the 2016 FIVB Club World Championship. She is part of the Philippines women's national volleyball team. Maika Angela Ortiz (born August 30, 1991) is a Filipino volleyball athlete player of the Foton Tornadoes volleyball team in the PSL. Foton Tornadoes
The Chery Tiggo Crossovers are a professional women's volleyball team in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). The team is owned by United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI). The team debuted in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) during the 2014 Grand Prix as the Foton Tornadoes. Heading to the 2020 season, the team was renamed to Chery Tiggo Crossovers.
