European Tour
The European Tour (currently known as the DP World Tour for sponsorship reasons), legally the PGA European Tour is the leading men's professional golf tour in Europe. The organisation also operates the European Senior Tour (for players aged fifty or older) and the developmental Challenge Tour; the second tier of men’s professional golf in Europe. The tour's headquarters are at the Wentworth Club in Virginia Water, Surrey, England. The European Tour was established by the British-based Professional Golfers' Association through the 1970s, and responsibility was transferred to an independent PGA European Tour organisation in 1984. Scott Gregory (golfer)
Scott Samuel Gregory (born 1 October 1994) is an English professional golfer. He won the 2016 Amateur Championship at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club, beating Robert MacIntyre 2&1 in the final, becoming the first Hampshire-born player to win the Championship. Early career Gregory first began the game going to the driving range with his father when he was about five years old and took to the game right away. As he got older, he went to the local pitch and putt courses where he was able to develop his short game and scoring until he was good enough to progress onto a proper golf course. The next step came when he was eight years old when he joined his local course which is Portsmouth Golf Club where he first started playing competitive golf. He played in junior matches and got his first handicap of 28 when he was nine years old. ''Max Schmitt in a Single Scull'' (also known as ''The Champion Single Sculls'' or ''The Champion, Single Sculls'') is an 1871 painting by Thomas Eakins, Goodrich catalogue #44. It is in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Set on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, it celebrates Eakins's friend Max Schmitt's victory in the October 5, 1870, single sculls competition. The sculler Max Schmitt (1843–1900) had attended Philadelphia Central High School with Eakins, and the two were close friends. Schmitt was a member of the Pennsylvania Barge Club – as, it is presumed, was Eakins – one of nine men's clubs in the Schuylkill Navy, and twelve that rowed on the river. } Gavin Moynihan (born 17 September 1994) is an Irish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Partnered with Paul Dunne, they won the 2018 GolfSixes. Amateur career Moynihan had a successful amateur career winning the Irish Amateur Open Championship in 2012 and 2015 and twice playing in the Walker Cup. He attended the University of Alabama from 2013 but left during his sophomore year. Kristian Krogh Johannessen (born 3 March 1995) is a Norwegian professional golfer who has played on the European Tour and the Challenge Tour. Marc Warren (born 1 April 1981) is a Scottish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He has won three European Tour victories in his career and finished 26th in the 2014 Race to Dubai, his strongest professional year. Daniel Thomas Gavins (born 20 March 1991) is an English professional golfer who currently plays on the European Tour. He won his first European Tour event at the 2021 ISPS Handa World Invitational. Professional career Gavins turned professional in 2012. He started his career playing on the PGA EuroPro Tour, winning once in 2013. He also finished 7th on the Order of Merit in 2015.
