2018 Caribbean Club Championship
The 2018 Caribbean Club Championship was the 20th edition of the Caribbean Club Championship (also known as the CFU Club Championship), the first-tier annual international club football competition in the Caribbean region, held amongst clubs whose football associations are affiliated with the Caribbean Football Union (CFU), a sub-confederation of CONCACAF. The winners of the 2018 CONCACAF Caribbean Club Championship would qualify to the 2019 CONCACAF Champions League, the second and third place teams would qualify to the 2018 CONCACAF League, while the fourth place team would play against the winners of the 2018 CONCACAF Caribbean Club Shield, as long as the Shield winners fulfill the CONCACAF Regional Club Licensing criteria, in a playoff match to determine the final Caribbean spot to the 2018 CONCACAF League. Cibao Fútbol Club is a Dominican professional football team based in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, founded in 2015. The team plays in the Liga Dominicana de Fútbol. 2016–17 TT Pro League
The 2016–17 TT Pro League season (known as the ''Digicel Pro League'' for sponsorship reasons) is the eighteenth season of the TT Pro League, the Trinidad and Tobago professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1999. A total of ten teams are contesting the league, with Central FC the defending champions from the 2015–16 season. The league started on the 29 September 2016 and ended on the 5 February 2017 with the crowning of the champion. On 5 February 2017, Central FC made history as they won their 3rd consecutive Pro League title, the only team to make such a feat. 2016–17 National Premier League
The 2016–17 Red Stripe Premier League is the highest competitive football league in Jamaica. It is the 43rd edition of the competition. It started on September 4, 2016. For this season the teams qualifying for the playoffs were increased from four to six teams. Teams ranked from one to two would get a bye to the semi-final round and teams ranked 3 and 6 will play a two leg tie along with teams ranked 4 and 5 for the quarterfinal stage. The two legged tie still remains for the semi-final stage. 2017 Ligue Haïtienne Season
The 2017 Ligue Haïtienne season is the 54th season of top-tier football in Haiti. It began on 4 March 2017. The league is split into two tournaments—the ''Série d'Ouverture'' and the ''Série de Clôture''—each with identical formats and each contested by the same 16 teams. In a change from last year, the number of teams in the league has been reduced from 18 to 16. Also, the playoffs for both seasons have been changed, having 6 teams qualify with seeds 3 through 6 starting in the quarterfinals and the 1 and 2 seeds starting in the semifinals. Teams At the end of the 2016 season, the bottom 4 teams in the aggregate table; Aigle Noir AC, Roulado FC, Inter, and Violette AC; were relegated to the Haitian second-level leagues. Caribbean Club Shield
The Caribbean Club Shield, also known as the CFU Club Shield, was an annual Caribbean football competition for clubs that were members of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU). It was a second-tier competition to the Caribbean Club Championship, and was introduced in 2018 for clubs which worked towards professional standards. It was ran by CONCACAF and was known as the CONCACAF Caribbean Club Shield. The winner of this competition, as long as it fulfills the CONCACAF Regional Club Licensing criteria, played against the fourth-placed team of the Caribbean Club Championship for the place in the CONCACAF League.
