ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Each event consists of at least three disciplines out of four ( men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing), and is required to take place between August 1 and December 15. The ISU Challenger Series Synchronized Skating is a separate competition series in the discipline of synchronized skating. History The ISU Council decided to create the series at its February 2014 meeting. Eleven competitions were selected in June 2014. The Triglav Trophy dropped out by October 10, 2014, resulting in a series composed of ten events. Single Skating
Single skating is a discipline of figure skating in which male and female skaters compete individually. Men's singles and women's singles are governed by the International Skating Union (ISU). Figure skating is the oldest winter sport contested at the Olympics, with men's and women's single skating appearing as two of the four figure skating events at the London Games in 1908. Single skaters are required to perform two segments in all international competitions, the short program and the free skating program. Lori-Ann Matte (born June 30, 1999) is a Canadian pair skater. With her skating partner, Thierry Ferland, she is the 2018 Canadian national junior champion and finished within the top ten at two World Junior Championships (2017, 2018). Personal life Lori-Ann Matte was born June 30, 1999, in Yongxiu, China, and grew up in Lévis, Quebec, Canada. As of 2018, she is enrolled at Collège de Rosemont in Montréal. Alicia Pineault
Alicia Pineault (; born July 26, 1999) is a Canadian figure skater. She is the 2016 Canadian national junior silver medalist and has represented Canada at two Four Continents Championships, finishing within the top ten in 2020. She has also competed on the Grand Prix series. Personal life Pineault was born on July 26, 1999, in Montreal. She studied at École Secondaire de Mortagne before enrolling at Cégep Édouard-Montpetit. Kevin Reynolds (born July 23, 1990) is a retired Canadian figure skater.
