2017 South Korean Figure Skating Championships
The 2017 South Korean Figure Skating Championships ( ko, 제71회 전국 남녀 피겨스케이팅 종합선수권대회) were held from January 6–8, 2017 at the Gangneung Ice Arena in Gangneung. It was organized by Korea Skating Union. This was the 71st edition of those championships held. Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing on the senior, junior levels for the title of national champion of South Korea. The results of the national championships were used to choose the Korean teams to the 2017 World Junior Championships and 2017 World Championships. The Korea Skating Union published the list of entries on December 28, 2016. Cha Jun-hwan won his first national title. Lim Eun-soo also won her first title. 2017 World Junior Figure Skating Championships
The 2017 World Junior Figure Skating Championships were held March 15–19, 2017 in Taipei City, Taiwan (Chinese Taipei). Commonly called "World Juniors" and "Junior Worlds", the event determined the World Junior champions in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Pair champions Ekaterina Alexandrovskaya / Harley Windsor became the first skaters representing Australia to win gold at an ISU Figure Skating Championships. The United States received gold in two disciplines, with Vincent Zhou winning the men's singles title and Rachel Parsons / Michael Parsons taking the ice dancing title. Kim Na-hyun (; born January 3, 2000) is a South Korean figure skater. She is the 2016 CS Lombardia Trophy silver medalist and has finished in the top ten at two ISU Championships. Career Early career Kim began learning to skate in 2006. Her ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) debut came in August 2013. After placing fifth in Riga, Latvia, she had the same result the following month in Gdańsk, Poland. Kim Ye-lim (Hangul: 김예림; born January 23, 2003) is a South Korean figure skater. She is a two-time Four Continents medalist, the 2022 NHK Trophy champion, 2022 Grand Prix de France silver medalist and the 2021 South Korean national champion. Park Sung-hoon (; born December 8, 2002), known mononymously as Sunghoon, is a South Korean singer, former presenter and former figure skater. He competed as a figure skater from 2010 to early 2020; while simultaneously being a Bighit Music trainee since 2018, later transferring to Belift Lab. Lee June-hyoung (Hangul:이준형) (born October 28, 1996) is a South Korean former competitive figure skater. He is the 2014 JGP France champion and a three-time South Korean national champion (2013, 2015, 2016). He is bronze medalist of 2018 CS Asian Open Trophy, and competed in the free skate at two Four Continents Championships (2015, 2016). Kim Jin-seo (Hangul:김진서) (born November 29, 1996) is a South Korean figure skater.
