2017 Oceania Cup
The 2017 Men's Oceania Cup was the tenth edition of the men's field hockey tournament. It was held from 11 to 15 October in Sydney. The tournament served as a qualifier for the 2018 FIH World Cup. Blake Govers
Blake Govers (born 6 July 1996) is an Australian field hockey player who plays as a forward for the NSW Pride in the Hockey One, Hockey One League and the Australia men's national field hockey team, Australian national team. He is the younger brother of former international hockey player Kieran Govers. He coaches a group of young female athletes at the Southern River Hockey Club, based in the south of Perth, WA. International career He competed in the Field hockey at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Men's tournament, men's field hockey tournament at the 2016 Summer Olympics and in the 2018 Men's Hockey World Cup. Mackenzie 'Mac' Brian Wilcox (born 7 August 1996) is a field hockey player from New Zealand, who plays as a forward. Personal life Mackenzie Wilcox was born and raised in Tolaga Bay, New Zealand. Career Domestic competitions Ford NHL Mackenzie Wilcox was a member of the Central Mavericks in the Ford National Hockey League (NHL), representing the team from 2015 to 2019. During his time with the team, Wilcox won a bronze medal in the 2016 edition of the tournament. Jared Kiran Panchia (born 18 October 1993) is a New Zealand field hockey player who plays as a forward or midfielder for the New Zealand national team. Life and career Panchia was born on 18 October 1993 in Auckland to Peter Panchia and Ramila. Both his parents played field hockey at local level. Panchia's siblings are also field hockey players; his elder brother Arun Panchia has captained the national side, while younger brother Daniel Panchia has represented the national junior team. Hayden Brian Phillips (born 6 February 1998) is a New Zealand field hockey player who plays as a midfielder for English club Holcombe. Early life Phillips was born in Palmerston North in 1998. Thomas William Craig (born 3 September 1995) is an Australian field hockey player who plays as a midfielder for the Australian national team. Career Junior national team In 2016, Craig was a member of the Australian Under 21 team, 'The Burras', who were victorious at the Junior Oceania Cup, which served as a qualifier for the Junior World Cup. Joshua Beltz (born 24 April 1995) is an Australian field hockey player who plays as a defender for the Australia national team and the Tassie Tigers. Personal life Beltz grew up in Hobart, Tasmania. Joshua Beltz also has a younger brother, Hayden, who represents Australia's Under 21 side, the 'Burras'. Career Junior Beltz was first named in the 'Burras' squad in 2016.
