Tom Craig (field Hockey)
Thomas William Craig (born 3 September 1995) is an Australian field hockey player who plays as a midfielder for the Australian national team. Career Junior national team In 2016, Craig was a member of the Australian Under 21 team, 'The Burras', who were victorious at the Junior Oceania Cup, which served as a qualifier for the Junior World Cup. Craig was also a member of the team at the Junior World Cup in Lucknow, India, where the team finished fourth. Senior national team Craig made his senior international debut in a test series against India in 2014, before competing the Champions Trophy in Bhubaneswar, India. Craig has become a regular inclusion in the Australian team since his debut, and most notably was a member of the team at the 2018 Commonwealth Games where the team won a gold medal. Lane Cove is a suburb on the Lower North Shore of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. India Men's National Field Hockey Team
The India men's national field hockey team represents India in international field hockey competitions, and is governed by Hockey India. The team was formerly under the control of Indian Hockey Federation. India was the first non-European team to be a part of the International Hockey Federation. In 1928, the team won its first Olympic gold medal and until 1960, the Indian men's team remained unbeaten in the Olympics, winning six gold medals in a row. 2016 Men's Hockey Junior World Cup
The 2016 Men's Hockey Junior World Cup was the 11th edition of the Hockey Junior World Cup for men, an international field hockey tournament. It was held in Lucknow, India from 8–18 December 2016. A total of sixteen teams competed for the title. Host nation India won the tournament for the second time after defeating Belgium 2–1 in the final. Germany won the third-place match by defeating Australia 3–0. Qualification Each continental federation got a number of quotas depending on the FIH World Rankings for teams qualified through their junior continental championships. The 2016 Junior Oceania Cup was a field hockey tournament held in Gold Coast, Australia. The tournament served as a qualifier for the 2016 Men's and Women's Junior Hockey World Cups. Both the Australian men's and women's teams finished the tournament undefeated, qualifying directly to the Junior World Cups. As Oceania is allocated two qualification places in the tournaments, both New Zealand teams also qualified for the Junior World Cups.
