Dan Harris (born August 29, 1979) is an American screenwriter and director best known for working with Michael Dougherty and Bryan Singer, and whose writing credits include ''Superman Returns'', ''X2 (film), X2'' and ''X-Men: Apocalypse''. Early life Harris was raised in Kingston, Pennsylvania. He went to Wyoming Valley West Middle and High schools, and graduated from Wyoming Seminary. Before he received his bachelor's degree from Columbia University, Harris's short film ''Urban Chaos Theory'' won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Short Film at the NoDance Film Festival, and the following winter, his short film, "''The Killing of Candice Klein"'', played at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival. Daniel Harris (born 10 May 1982) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the North Melbourne Football Club and Gold Coast Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He played as a midfielder and has been noted as one of the best centre clearance players in the league. He was also one of the league's best tacklers, making the top ten for most tackles in each season between 2006 and 2008. Daniel Harris ( – 13 June 1840) was an English builder, prison governor, civil engineer, and architect prominent in Oxford. Daniel Gibson Harris (1915–2007) was an accountant, a British agent during World War II and a writer on Swedish naval history. He was born in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, England and, after attending Sherborne School, trained as a chartered accountant. He joined the Royal Naval Supplementary Volunteer Reserve but, having learned Swedish, was sent in 1940 to the British embassy in Stockholm as Assistant Naval Attache, and remained there for the rest of the war. During Operation Rheinübung, together with his superior, Captain Henry Denham, he obtained details of the current position of the '' Bismarck'' - this information then led to its chase and eventual sinking by the British Navy.
