2017 Motorcycle Grand Prix Of The Americas
The 2017 Motorcycle Grand Prix of the Americas was the third round of the 2017 MotoGP season. It was held at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin on April 23, 2017. Classification MotoGP * Álex Rins suffered a broken forearm in a crash during Saturday practice and withdrew from the event. Moto2 * Lecuona pulled out of the race due to pain in the arm he'd broken during pre-season testing. Kent cited a pinched nerve in his back but later quit the team. Moto3 The race, scheduled to be run for 18 laps, was red-flagged due to Kaito Toba's crash in Turn 14 and was later restarted over 12 laps. Cal Crutchlow (born 29 October 1985) is an English professional motorcycle racer who retired from regular competition after the 2020 season. He is contracted as a test rider for Yamaha Motor Racing, which he is expected to continue in 2022 and 2023. Álvaro Bautista Arce (born 21 November 1984) is a Spanish motorcycle road racer. He won the 2022 Superbike World Championship, with Ducati factory team. After the 2019 World Superbike season with the factory Ducati team, for 2020 and 2021 he was contracted to ride the Honda Fireblade in World Superbikes, with the team being run under full HRC control. Esteve "Tito" Rabat Bergada (born 25 May 1989) is a Spanish motorcycle racer. He is best known for winning the 2014 Moto2 World Championship. Rabat then made the move to MotoGP in 2016 and spent five full-time seasons there, before moving to the Superbike World Championship in 2021.
