The 2017 Ladies Championship Gstaad was a women's tennis tournament, part of the International category of the 2017 WTA Tour. The 25th edition of the tournament took place on the outdoor clay courts at Roy Emerson Arena in Gstaad, Switzerland, from 17-23 July 2017. WTA International Tournaments
The WTA International Tournaments was a category for professional tennis tournaments of the Women's Tennis Association from the 2009 WTA Tour until 2020, which replaced the previous Tier III and Tier IV categories. The winner of a WTA International adds 280 points to her WTA ranking. For the 2020 season, there were 32 tournaments, all knock-out tournaments with a prize money for every event at $275,000 ($775,000 for Shenzhen, and $525,000 for Guangzhou and Hong Kong). Rebeka Masarova ( sk, Rebeka Masárová, ; born 6 August 1999) is a Spanish–Swiss tennis player. She has career-high WTA rankings of 121 in singles and 170 in doubles. The 2016 French Open junior champion started representing Spain in January 2018. Personal life Masarova's mother is Spanish and her father is Slovak. Bethanie Mattek-Sands ( Bethanie Lynn Mattek; born March 23, 1985) is an American professional tennis player. She has won nine Grand Slam titles (five in women's doubles and four in mixed doubles), and an Olympic gold medal, and is a former world No. 1 in doubles.
