2017 Korea Open
The 2017 Korea Open (also known as the 2017 KEB Hana Bank-Incheon Airport Korea Open for sponsorship purposes) was a women's professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the 14th edition of the tournament, and part of the 2017 WTA Tour. It took place in Seoul, South Korea between 18 and 24 September 2017. WTA International Tournaments
The WTA International Tournaments was a category for professional tennis tournaments of the Women's Tennis Association from the 2009 WTA Tour until 2020, which replaced the previous Tier III and Tier IV categories. The winner of a WTA International adds 280 points to her WTA ranking. For the 2020 season, there were 32 tournaments, all knock-out tournaments with a prize money for every event at $275,000 ($775,000 for Shenzhen, and $525,000 for Guangzhou and Hong Kong). Christina Marietta McHale (born May 11, 1992) is an American former professional tennis player. Her highest-ever WTA rankings were No. 24 in singles and No. 35 in doubles. Known for an aggressive baseline game, McHale was recognized by ''The New York Times'' for her "booming" groundstrokes and fast footwork. is a Japanese professional tennis player. Her highest WTA rankings are No. 30 in singles and No. 77 in doubles. Doi reached two junior Grand Slam doubles finals – at Wimbledon in 2007 with Kurumi Nara, and at the Australian Open in 2008, with Elena Bogdan (losing both). Mariana Duque Mariño
Mariana Duque Mariño (; born 12 August 1989) is a Colombian retired tennis player. Having turned professional in 2005, she reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 66 in October 2015. Duque debuted on the ITF Junior Circuit in 2004. As a junior, she reached the final of the girls' singles tournament at the 2007 French Open. Eugenie "Genie" Bouchard (; french: Eugénie Bouchard, ; born February 25, 1994) is a Canadian tennis player. At the 2014 Wimbledon Championships, she became the first Canadian-born player representing Canada to reach the final of a Grand Slam tournament in singles, finishing runner-up to Petra Kvitová. Varatchaya "Pias" Wongteanchai ( th, วรัชญา วงค์เทียนชัย; born 7 September 1989) is a former professional tennis player from Thailand. Arantxa Rus (; born 13 December 1990) is a Dutch tennis player. In 2008, she won the girl's singles title at the 2008 Australian Open – Girls' singles, Australian Open, defeating Jessica Moore (tennis), Jessica Moore from Australia in the final.
