K3 League (2007–2019)
The K3 League was a South Korean amateur football league held annually from 2007 to 2019. It was considered the third-highest division of the South Korean football league system before the K League 2 was launched in 2013, and the fourth-highest division since then. In 2017, it was divided into ''K3 League Advanced'' and fifth-tier league ''K3 League Basic'', and introduced a system of promotion and relegation. In 2020, it was reborn as a K3 League, semi-professional league after merging with the Korea National League. History The K3 League had an 2007 K3 League, exhibition season held in two stages with ten teams in 2007. The winners of both stages and the best two clubs in the overall standings qualified for the championship playoffs and the 2008 Korean FA Cup. Gimpo
Gimpo () is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It borders Incheon, with which it shares the South Korean side of the Han River estuary, as well as Seoul and the lesser cities of Paju and Goyang. North Korea is across the Han River. Jeonju
Jeonju () is the 16th largest city in South Korea and the capital of North Jeolla Province. It is both urban and rural due to the closeness of Wanju County which almost entirely surrounds Jeonju (Wanju County has many residents who work in Jeonju). Icheon
Icheon () is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Together with Yeoju, Icheon is known as a center of South Korean ceramic manufacturing and is a UNESCO City of Crafts and Folk Art. Kim Jong-boo (Hangul: 김종부, born 13 January 1965) is a South Korean football manager and former player. He was one of the most influential footballers in South Korea during the 1980s. He is managing Chinese Super League club Hebei. Playing career In the 1983 FIFA World Youth Championship, Kim showed great performances including his two goals and two assists, leading South Korean under-20 team to the semi-finals. He became the most popular young footballer in South Korea after the World Youth Championship, and interested K League clubs.
