Hwaseong FC (Korean: 화성 FC) is a South Korean semi-professional football club based in Hwaseong, South Korea. They currently play in the K3 League, the third tier of the South Korean football club. Hwaseong Stadium
Hwaseong Sports Town ( ko, 화성종합경기타운) is a group of sports facilities in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi, South Korea. The complex consists of the Hwaseong Stadium and Hwaseong Indoor Arena. Facilities Hwaseong Stadium The Hwaseong Stadium is a multi-use stadium, completed in 2011. It is used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity for 35,265 spectators. The stadium cost $175 million to build and is the home ground of Hwaseong FC, a semi-professional team competing in the K3 League (third division). The stadium has hosted South Korea World Cup qualifiers, including a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Laos and a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Sri Lanka. The 2021 K3 League was the second season of the K3 League as a semi-professional league and the third tier of South Korean football league system. Gimhae FC are the defending champions. 2020 K3 League
The 2020 K3 League was the first season of the K3 League as a semi-professional league and the third tier of South Korean football league system. After the 2019 season, the former Korea National League and K3 League Advanced went defunct and rebranded into the K3 League. In the 2020 season, 16 teams are going to compete in the K3 League, and they are 8 teams from KNL, 6 teams from K3 League Advanced, and 2 teams from K3 League Basic. The teams for the 2020 season were announced by the Korea Football Association on 19 December 2019. Competition format 16 teams will compete in the 2020 season, including all 8 teams from the 2019 edition of the now-defunct Korea National League, six teams from the 2019 K3 League Advanced, and two teams from the 2019 K3 League Basic.
