Tawag Ng Tanghalan
''Tawag ng Tanghalan'' (, abbreviated as TNT) is a Philippine amateur singing competition currently airing as a segment of the noon time program, '' It's Showtime'' on ABS-CBN. It airs on the Kapamilya Channel, a simulcast on Jeepney TV ( encore telecast) from A2Z and TV5, as well as on online streaming platforms such as Facebook and YouTube via ''Showtime Online Ü'' and '' Kapamilya Online Live'' every Monday to Saturday. Dubbed as "Your All-Time Favorite Search for Outstanding Amateur Talents", the competition is open to Filipino contestants from Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao and overseas. The show first aired on January 2, 2016, and was successfully continuing its fame for the next five regular seasons: one kids edition, one celebrity edition and one all-star edition. Coke Studio Philippines
''Coke Studio Philippines'' is a music television program in the Philippines featuring performances by various Filipino music artists. It is inspired by the Pakistani show of the same name. History Created by The Coca-Cola Company, the show has earlier editions in other countries in Asia like Pakistan and India. The first season of the Coke Studio Philippines was aired on TV5 and was produced by Eraserheads band members, Raimund Marasigan & Buddy Zabala. ''All-Star Sunday Afternoon Party'' (''ASAP''; ), currently branded as ''ASAP Natin 'To'' (), is a Philippine television variety show produced by ABS-CBN Entertainment. BP Valenzuela
B.P. Valenzuela is a Filipino singer-songwriter, producer and independent electronic pop artist from the Philippines. She is best known for her debut EP, ''be/ep'' (2014), and her debut studio album ''The Neon Hour'' (2015) with popular singles like "Pretty Car", and "Steady". Aside from her main focus as an electropop musician, she also performs as half-lit. Life and career Valenzuela started her music career at the age of 18 while a freshman at Ateneo de Manila University, taking up Sociology and Anthropology studies. Sandwich (stylized as <S>andwich in earlier releases) is a Filipino alternative rock band from the Philippines. The band consists of lead vocalist Raymund Marasigan, guitarists and backing vocalists Diego Castillo and Mong Alcaraz, bassist Myrene Academia and drummer Mike Dizon. History Formation and ''Grip Stand Throw'' (1998–2000) The band formed in 1998 by Raymund Marasigan (former drummer of Eraserheads) and Diego Castillo (The Aga Mulach Experience) for the purpose of fulfilling their mutual desire to work together. Maria Therese "Reese" Lansangan (born October 16, 1990) is a Filipino musician, singer-songwriter, visual artist, graphic designer, fashion designer, and published author. Franco (band)
Franco is a rock band from the Philippines, formed in 2008. The band had its beginnings as a supergroup with members from iconic Filipino bands, consisting of Franco Reyes (InYo) on vocals, Gabby Alipe ( Urbandub) on guitar, 8 Toleran (Queso) on guitar, Buwi Meneses ( Parokya ni Edgar) on bass guitar, and JanJan Mendoza ( Urbandub) on drums. This original lineup disbanded in mid-2012, and regrouped with frontman Franco Reyes backed by Paul Cañada on guitar, Dave Delfin on bass and Victor Guison on drums. History Franco started as a collaboration project between Alipe, Toleran, Meneses and Mendoza, who are prominent musicians in the Pinoy rock scene. Jensen Gomez (born May 4, 1991) is a Filipino vocalist, musician and producer. His debut album, ''Umpisa'' (trans: beginning) was released in 2014 by Universal Records. Moonstar88 is a Filipino rock band formed in Manila, Philippines in 1999. History Moonstar88 was formed in February 1999. They were signed to Sony BMG by 2006, and later to Ivory Records in 2012. Raymond Abracosa (born December 2, 1990), better known as Abra, is a Filipino rapper, hip hop recording artist and occasional actor. He gained mainstream popularity with his song "Gayuma". When the video reached more than 26 million views on YouTube, it was hailed as the highest number generated by any local artist. Before that, he is a well-known battle emcee in the FlipTop Battle League. Career His career started as a member of Pinoy hip hop group Lyrically Deranged Poets (LDP) in 2010. Gracenote is a Filipino electropop rock band currently composed of Eunice Jorge (vocals, keyboards, violin), Jazz Jorge (bass), EJ Pichay (drums) and Tatsi Jamnague (guitars).
