''Coke Studio Philippines'' is a music television program in the Philippines featuring performances by various Filipino music artists. It is inspired by the Pakistani show of the same name. History Created by The Coca-Cola Company, the show has earlier editions in other countries in Asia like Pakistan and India. The first season of the Coke Studio Philippines was aired on TV5 and was produced by Eraserheads band members, Raimund Marasigan & Buddy Zabala. The second season was named ''Coke Studio Homecoming'', it was aired on ABS-CBN and was produced by Saab Magalona, the daughter of Filipino hip-hop icon Francis Magalona and the co-leading vocalist of indie band Cheats. For the 3rd season, it was hosted by former Pinoy Big Brother alumnus and singer/actress Ylona Garcia. A season is a division of the year based on changes in weather, ecology, and the number of daylight hours in a given region. Eraserheads (sometimes stylized as ERASƎRHEADS or ƎRASƎRHƎADS) are a Filipino alternative rock band formed in 1989. With a line-up comprising Ely Buendia, Buddy Zabala, Marcus Adoro, and Raimund Marasigan, the band became one of the most influential and successful in the history of Filipino music. Raymond Abracosa (born December 2, 1990), better known as Abra, is a Filipino rapper, hip hop recording artist and occasional actor. He gained mainstream popularity with his song "Gayuma". When the video reached more than 26 million views on YouTube, it was hailed as the highest number generated by any local artist. B.P. Valenzuela is a Filipino singer-songwriter, producer and independent electronic pop artist from the Philippines. The band consists of lead vocalist Raymund Marasigan, guitarists and backing vocalists Diego Castillo and Mong Alcaraz, bassist Myrene Academia and drummer Mike Dizon. Formed in 2012, the band consists of Josh Villena (guitars and vocals), Neil Tin (guitars), EJ Edralin (synth), Timothy “Pabs” Vargas (bass guitars), and Gep Macadaeg (drums). The Ransom Collective (also known as TRC and originally known as Kian Ransom) are a Filipino indie folk band known for their "spirited music that makes for perfect adventure tunes." Urbandub
Urbandub is a Filipino rock band from Cebu City, Philippines. Since its inception in 2000, the band's line-up consisted of Gabby Alipe, John Dinopol, Lalay Lim, and JanJan Mendoza who joined in 2003. Urbandub is the first indie band in the Philippines to release albums nationwide with the assistance of a major label. The label also featured Urbandub in a Pinoy rock compilation entitled "FULL VOLUME", with a remake of Sade's "No Ordinary Love". The band recently garnered the attention of fans throughout Southeast Asia with a tour in Singapore.
