The 2017 WNBA season will be the 20th season for the Dallas Wings franchise of the WNBA. This will be the franchise's 2nd season in Dallas. The season tips off on May 14. Dallas started the season steadily posting an 8–8 record in May and June. It was a rocky July (3–6) but the team recovered in August by going 5–3. Despite losing their lone September game, the team qualified for the playoffs as the 7th seed with a 16–18 record. Dallas lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Washington Mystics, ending their season. Bridget Pettis (born January 1, 1971) was an Assistant Coach of the Chicago Sky Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) professional basketball team. She is an American former college and professional basketball player who was a guard in the WNBA for eight seasons during the 1990s and 2000s. 2017 Minnesota Lynx Season
The 2017 WNBA season of the Minnesota Lynx is their 19th season in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The Lynx finished the 2016 season with a record of 28–6, finishing first in the Western Conference (and the league as a whole) and qualifying for the playoffs, before ultimately beating Los Angeles in the WNBA Finals to win their league-tying best fourth championship. The Lynx moved from their normal home, Target Center in Minneapolis, to the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul for the 2017 season due to the renovation that would be taking place at Target Center. The 2017 WNBA season is the 18th season for the Indiana Fever of the Women's National Basketball Association. The Fever began play on May 14, 2017.
