2017 Copa Verde
The 2017 Copa Verde was the 4th edition of a football competition held in Brazil. Featuring 18 clubs, Acre, Distrito Federal and Mato Grosso do Sul have two spots; Amapá, Amazonas, Espírito Santo, Mato Grosso, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima and Tocantins with one each. The others four berths was set according to CBF ranking. In the finals, Luverdense defeated Paysandu 4–2 on aggregate to win their first title and a place in the Round of 16 of the 2018 Copa do Brasil. Luverdense Esporte Clube, commonly referred to as Luverdense, is a Brazilian professional club based in Lucas do Rio Verde, Mato Grosso founded on 24 January 2004. It competes in the Campeonato Mato-Grossense, the top flight of the Mato Grosso state football league. History The club was founded on January 24, 2004, by entrepreneurs and farmers. The club name, Luverdense, refers to the used to refer to people born in Lucas do Rio Verde city. The club won the Copa Governador do Mato Grosso in 2004, in 2007 and in 2011. The Campeonato Amazonense, officially Campeonato Amazonense de Futebol Profissional, is the football championship for professional clubs of the state of Amazonas, Brazil. Format The 2021 Campeonato Amazonense is divided into two stages: First Stage *Standard round-robin, in which all teams play each other once. The worst two teams of the stage are relegated to the second division, while the other eight teams advance to the second stage. Nacional Fast Clube, or Fast Clube, as they are usually called, is a Brazilian football team from Manaus in Amazonas, founded on 8 July 1930. Fast is the second-best ranked team from Amazonas in CBF's national club ranking, behind Manaus. History The club was founded by a group of members and players of the Nacional, who commanded by the leader Vivaldo Lima and the player then captain of the team Rodolpho Gonçalves decided to leave the club. The reason for the discord was a political maneuver of the then president of the Nacional, Leopoldo Mattos with change of the statute of the Nacional on the eve of the presidential election, taking the players the right to vote. The Campeonato Amapaense, commonly known simply as Amapazão, is the football league of the State of Amapá, Brazil. It is organized by the Amapá State Football Federation.
