Galvez Esporte Clube, commonly known as Galvez, is a Brazilian professional football club based in Rio Branco, Acre founded on 3 July 2011. It competes in the Campeonato Acreano, the top flight of the Acre state football league. Galvez is the second-best ranked team from Acre in CBF's national club ranking, behind Atlético Acreano. History Galvez Esporte Clube was founded in 2011 by military police officers. Crest The colors allude to the Acre flag. The shield, on the left side of the shirt, has a crown in reference to Luis Gálvez Rodríguez de Arias, Emperor of the Independent State of Acre. Inside the shield is the presence of the solitary star, symbol of the Acriana Revolution, a royal hawk attacking a ball, and two crossed arms, symbolizing the state military police. The 2021 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was a football competition held in Brazil, equivalent to the fourth division. The competition began on 26 May and ended on 13 November 2021. Sixty-eight teams competed in the tournament. Sixty-four teams qualified from their state leagues and cups, and four relegated from the 2020 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C ( Boa Esporte, Imperatriz, São Bento and Treze). The match Imperatriz v 4 de Julho, played at the Estádio Frei Epifânio D'Abadia (Imperatriz) on 28 August 2021 (Group A2 13th round), was finished in the 76th minute (0–0) after a strong storm caused the partial collapse of the grandstand roof located over the press booths and changing rooms of the teams and referees. Campeonato Brasileiro Série D
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D (English: Brazilian Championship Serie D) is the fourth division of the Brazilian football league system, and was announced by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on April 9, 2008. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was formed from the split of the Série C, keeping its best 20 clubs and playing double round robin as does the top three divisions. The Série D keeps the same format of the older Série C, but with participation limited to 40 clubs recognized by the state federation. In 2016 the Série D was expanded to 68 clubs, but in 2022 it will be reduced to 64 clubs. Luis Gálvez Rodríguez De Arias
Luis Gálvez Rodríguez de Arias was a Spanish journalist, diplomat and adventurer who proclaimed the Republic of Acre in 1899. He ruled Acre between July 14, 1899 and January 1, 1900 for the first time, and between January 30 and March 15, 1900, for the second and last time. Biography Gálvez studied legal and social sciences at the University of Seville and later worked in the Spanish diplomatic service in Rome and Buenos Aires. He migrated to South America to look for the El Dorado of the Amazon rainforest, in 1897. In Belém, he worked as a journalist at the Correio do Pará.
