2016–17 Bangladesh Cricket League
The 2016–17 Bangladesh Cricket League was the fifth edition of the Bangladesh Cricket League, a first-class cricket competition. It was held in Bangladesh from 28 January to 8 March 2017. The tournament was played after the conclusion of the other first-class competition in Bangladesh, the 2016–17 National Cricket League. Central Zone were the defending champions. North Zone won the tournament, securing their first title in the competition. Bangladesh Cricket Board
The Bangladesh Cricket board ( bn, বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট বোর্ড; abbreviated as BCB) is the governing body of cricket in Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Cricket Board first became an associate member of the International Cricket Council in 1977 and on June 26, 2000 became a Full Member. BCB have three International Cricket teams which represent Bangladesh in international cricket, which are Bangladesh Men's national cricket team, Bangladesh women's national cricket team and Bangladesh under-19 cricket team. Litton Kumer Das (Bengali: লিটন কুমার দাস; born 16 February 1994) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a test wicket-keeper. He made his international debut for Bangladesh in June 2015. He has scored the highest individual score for Bangladesh in ODI cricket (176). Mohammad Jahurul Islam Omi ( bn, মোহম্মাদ জহুরুল ইসলাম, born 12 December 1986) is a Bangladeshi international cricketer. Taijul Islam
Taijul Islam (Bengali: তাইজুল ইসলাম; born 7 February 1992) is a Bangladeshi left-arm orthodox spinner who plays for the Bangladesh national cricket team. He made his international debut for Bangladesh in September 2014. Taijul was selected for Bangladesh A after a strong 2013–14 domestic season, and went on to make his Test debut for Bangladesh on its 2014 tour of the West Indies. Fazle Mahmud Rabbi (born 13 December 1987) is a first-class and List A cricketer from Bangladesh who is sometimes referred to on scoresheets by his nickname 'Rabbi'. He made his first-class debut for Barisal Division in 2003–04 against Dhaka Division. Abdur Razzak (cricketer)
Abdur Razzak ( bn, আব্দুর রাজ্জাক; born 15 June 1982) is a Bangladeshi former cricketer who played in all formats of the game. Abdur is the first Bangladeshi to take 200 wickets in ODIs. He is also the first left arm spinner and second spinner after Saqlain Mushtaq to take a hat-trick. He made his first-class debut at Bangladeshi domestic level for Khulna Division in the 2001/02 season. Declaration And Forfeiture
In the sport of cricket, a declaration occurs when a captain declares his team's innings closed and a forfeiture occurs when a captain chooses to forfeit an innings without batting. Declaration and forfeiture are covered in Law 15 of the ''Laws of Cricket''. This concept applies only to matches in which each team is scheduled to bat in two innings; Law 15 specifically does not apply in any form of limited overs cricket. Nadir Shah (umpire)
Nadir Shah (7 February 1964 – 10 September 2021) was an international cricket umpire from Bangladesh. He stood in international matches between 2006 and 2011, but was later caught in a sting operation and banned for ten years for corruption. The ban was lifted after six years, and he resumed umpiring in domestic cricket in Bangladesh. He continued to umpire until October 2019. He died from cancer in September 2021. Life and career Nadir Shah was born on 7 February 1964 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was the youngest of seven brothers, and developed a passion for cricket from a young age. Masudur Rahman (born 13 April 1975) is a Bangladeshi international cricket umpire and former first-class cricketer. A right-handed batsman and off-break bowler, he made his first-class debut for Dhaka Metropolis in 2000/01 and played for Barisal Division in 2001/02 and Dhaka Division from 2003/04 to 2004/05.
