The 2016 Swedish Golf Tour, known as the Nordea Tour for sponsorship reasons, was the 31st season of the Swedish Golf Tour, a series of professional golf tournaments for women held in Sweden and Norway. A number of the tournaments also featured on the 2016 LET Access Series (LETAS). Schedule The season consisted of 9 tournaments played between May and October, where two events were held in Norway. Jenny Haglund
Jenny Haglund (born 26 June 1993) is a Swedish professional golfer who has played on the Ladies European Tour (LET) and the LPGA Tour. Career Haglund played college golf at Southern Methodist University before she graduated with a degree in Sports Management and Communications in 2016 and turned professional on June 2. She won the 2016 Swedish Golf Tour Order of Merit and finished second in the 2016 LET Access Series Order of Merit rankings, earning promotion to the 2017 Ladies European Tour. In 2018, Haglund joined the Symetra Tour, where she found herself in the lead heading into the final round of her first tournament, the IOA Championship. Tourfinal Vellinge Open
The Swedish Golf Tour Final, currently titled as The No. 1 Tour Final in Golf, is a golf tournament played as the season-ending championship of the Swedish Golf Tour. The Tour Final was introduced in the 2005 season, succeeding the Telia Grand Prix, a Challenge Tour event that had served as the season ending event for most years since 1996. The Swedish Golf Tour (women) had played the Telia Ladies Finale since 1997. Stacey Keating (born 21 June 1986) is an Australian golfer who won the 2012 Open de France Dames and 2012 Open De España Femenino. Originally from Werneth, near Colac, Victoria, she and competed at the 2013 U.S. Women's Open, where she missed the cut. Laura Beveridge (born 8 August 1988) is a Scottish professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour. She competed as Laura Murray until she married PGA Golf Professional Keil Beveridge in October 2021. She was runner-up at the 2022 Estrella Damm Ladies Open. Early life and amateur career Beveridge grew up in Alford, Aberdeenshire, and has been playing golf since she was ten years old. She attended Robert Gordon University, where she studied Sport and Exercise Science. Emma Nilsson (born 8 March 1994) is a Swedish professional golfer and member of the Ladies European Tour. She was runner-up at the 2020 South African Women's Open. Linda Maria Wessberg (born 13 June 1980) is a Swedish professional golfer who has played on the LPGA Tour and on the Ladies European Tour, where she has three victories. The Ladies Norwegian Open is a professional golf tournament on the Swedish Golf Tour and featured on the LET Access Series schedule in 2015 and 2016. Highlights The 2015 edition saw a record-breaking 14-hole sudden-death playoff between Johanna Gustavsson of Sweden and Natalia Escuriola of Spain. Both players recorded an opening bogey on the first playoff hole, the 368 yard par-4 9th at Larvik Golf Club, which they played three times before alternating between the 1st and 9th holes until the 10th extra hole. They then moved back to the 9th hole until Gustavsson was able to break the deadlock on the 14th extra hole with a birdie three.
