2016 Perth Darts Masters
The 2016 Perth Darts Masters was the third staging of the tournament by the Professional Darts Corporation, as the sixth and final entry in the 2016 World Series of Darts. The tournament featured 16 players (eight top PDC Players facing eight regional qualifiers) and was held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre in Perth, Western Australia from 25–27 August 2017. Phil Taylor (darts player), Phil Taylor was the two-times defending champion after defeating James Wade 11–7 in the last year's final, but lost in the first round to the regional qualifier Corey Cadby. Michael van Gerwen won the title by defeating Dave Chisnall 11–4 in the final. Perth Convention And Exhibition Centre
The Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre is a privately owned convention centre located in Perth, Western Australia. Description The centre has a floor space of and can cater for 5,000 delegates. It contains state-of-the-art technical facilities, six exhibition pavilions, a 2,500 seat tiered theatre, banquet/ballrooms and 23 meeting rooms. History Premier Richard Court, announced in November 2000 that a contract had been signed with Multiplex after five months of negotiations. Construction was to commence in June 2001 with a late 2003 completion date. Built by Multiplex at a cost of A$225 million it was officially opened in August 2004 by Premier Geoff Gallop. Kyle Anderson (darts Player)
Noel James Kyle Anderson (14 September 1987 – 24 August 2021) was an Australian professional darts player who played within the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from 2012 to 2021. He won the 2017 Auckland Darts Masters tournament. Career He started playing darts at the age of six and had competed in tournaments since he was nine. He first became interested in the game watching his father play. Anderson was an Aboriginal man of Noongar origin. Anderson qualified for the 2013 PDC World Darts Championship by winning the Oceanic Masters. He lost to Steve Beaton 3–0 in the first round after he missed two opportunities to take each of the opening two sets. Anderson dominated in the DPA's 2013 Australian Grand Prix season by winning seven events to top the Order of Merit.
