2016 Commonwealth Of Independent States Cup
2016 Commonwealth of Independent States Cup was the 24th annual Commonwealth of Independent States Cup since its establishment in 1993. It was hosted in Saint Petersburg, Russia between 17 and 23 January 2016. This event was the last edition of the cup. Saint Petersburg hosted the event for the seventh time, with all matches being held in a single venue ( Saint Petersburg Sports and Concert Complex). All participating nations were represented by their youth (U20/U21) national teams. Format This edition sees a reduction in sides to eight Under 21 teams. The number of participants was reduced from 12 to 8, split in two groups of four. Group winners advanced to the final match, while the rest of the teams decided overall 3rd, 5th and 7th places in a single knockout round. Serik Abdualiyev
Serik is a town and district in Antalya Province of Turkey, east of the city of Antalya, along the Mediterranean coast. Geography Towards the coast the district is mainly flat farmland, used for growing vegetables, while the inland half of Serik is forested hills and the Taurus Mountains. Dan Spătaru (born 24 May 1994) is a Moldovan professional footballer who plays for Polish II liga club Radunia Stężyca. The Saint Petersburg Sports and Concert Complex (russian: Спортивно-концертный комплекс «Петербургский», Sportivno-kontsertnyy kompleks «Peterburgskiy») was an arena in Saint Petersburg, Russia. History In Soviet time, it was called V. I. Lenin Sport & Concert Complex (russian: Спортивно-концертный комплекс им. В. И. Ленина, Sportivno-kontsertnyy kompleks im. V. I. Lenin). The complex was completed in 1979 and opened in 1980. Besides concerts, the arena was used for various sports, notably tennis, as it was the location of the St. Petersburg Open.
