2016 ADAC TCR Germany Touring Car Championship
The 2016 ADAC TCR Germany Touring Car Championship was the first season of touring car racing to be run by the German-based sanctioning body ADAC to newly created TCR regulations. The series ran predominantly in ADAC's home nation Germany. As a support category to the ADAC GT Masters series, the championship also took in races in the neighbouring nations of Austria and the Netherlands. Teams and drivers Hankook is the official tyre supplier. Calendar and results The 2016 schedule was announced on 13 November 2015, with two events scheduled to be held outside Germany. The second Oschersleben round supported the International Series along with ADAC Formula 4, while the rest of the rounds were part of the ADAC GT Masters weekends. 2016 ADAC GT Masters
The 2016 ADAC GT Masters was the tenth season of the ADAC GT Masters, the grand tourer-style sports car racing founded by the German automobile club ADAC. The season started on 15 April at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben and ended on 2 October at Hockenheim after seven double-header meetings. Entry list Race calendar and results The seven-event calendar for the 2015 season was announced on 13 November 2015. It was held along with the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters at the Lausitzring. Andrea Belicchi
Andrea Belicchi (born 18 December 1976) is an Italian professional racing driver. He has competed in such series as the Porsche Supercup, Le Mans Series and FIA World Endurance Championship. He won the Russian Formula Three Championship in 2002 and Finnish Formula Three Championship in 2003 with Lukoil Racing and previously the Renault Sport Spider Elf Trophy in 1998. He also competed in Italian Formula 3000 and Formula Renault V6 Eurocup before switching to sports car racing. He was the GTS class champion in 2006 International GT Open along with Stefano Zonca. Also in 2006 he got a GT2 class win at the 2006 1000 km of Nürburgring on a GPC Ferrari. In 2007 he drove a Spyker at the Le Mans Series. In 2008 he switched to the LMP2 class, finishing second in class at the 1000 km of Catalunya. Jordi Oriola Vila (born 21 June 1996) is a Spanish racing driver currently competing in the SEAT León Eurocup. He previously competed in the TCR International Series and European Touring Car Cup. Racing career Oriola began his career in 2007 in karting. After karting for 4 years, he switched to the SEAT León Supercopa#France, SEAT León Supercopa France in 2012, he finished 12th in the championship standings that year. In 2013 he switched to the European Touring Car Cup, racing in the Single-makes Trophy. He finished 3rd in the championship standings, with 2 wins, 1 pole position and 5 podiums. Pierre-Yves Corthals
Pierre-Yves Corthals (born 23 October 1975 in Liège) is a Belgian auto racing driver. Career After competing in karting, Corthals began racing in the Belgian Renault Clio Cup in 1994, which he went on to win for three consecutive years between 1995 and 1997, and won it again in 2000 and 2004. He won the International Clio Cup in 2001, ahead of Alessandro Balzan and Jeroen Bleekemolen. In 2001 he competed in two rounds of the European Touring Car Championship, once for BMW Team RBM at Donington Park, and once for Carly Motorsport at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, finishing the first race in sixth place. Corthals began competing in the World Touring Car Championship in 2006, for JAS Motorsport in a Honda Accord, finishing seventh in the Independents' Trophy. DG Sport Compétition is a Belgian auto racing team based in Theux, Belgium. The team has raced in the TCR International Series, since 2017. The also races in the TCR Benelux Touring Car Championship and Belgian Rally Championship. Having previously rallied in the European Rally Championship. Vincent Radermecker (born 5 July 1967) is a Belgian auto racing driver. Racing career Early years After starting in racing through karting in his home land of Belgium in 1986, he drove in the Benelux Formula Ford Championship. He was champion in his second year in the series in 1991. In 1992 he raced in Great Britain, with a drive in the British Formula Ford Championship, finishing fourth on points. He finished as runner-up in the 1993 Formula Opel Euroseries, before returning to Britain with Formula 3. Bas Schouten (born 19 October 1994 in Hoorn) is a Dutch auto racing driver. Schouten has raced in various international racing series such as the TCR International Series and Acceleration 2014. Career After a career in karting in his home country Schouten made his auto racing debut in 2010. Schouten was included in the KNAF Talent First programme together with Steijn Schothorst and Dennis van de Laar. De 15-year-old Dutch driver ran in the amateur BMW E30 Cup in a BMW 325i E30 entered by Bas Koeten Racing. Schouten also ran six races in the Dutch Formula Ford Duratec championship.
