2016 ADAC Formula 4 Championship
The 2016 ADAC Formula 4 season was the second season of the ADAC Formula 4. It began on 16 April at Oschersleben and finished on 2 October at Hockenheim after seven triple header rounds. Teams and drivers Race calendar All rounds were part of the ADAC GT Masters weekends, with the exception of round 4 which supported the TCR International Series. Championship standings Points were awarded to the top 10 classified finishers in each race. No points were awarded for pole position or fastest lap. For the third race in Zandvoort, only half points were awarded because of a premature crash. 2016 ADAC GT Masters
The 2016 ADAC GT Masters was the tenth season of the ADAC GT Masters, the grand tourer-style sports car racing founded by the German automobile club ADAC. The season started on 15 April at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben and ended on 2 October at Hockenheim after seven double-header meetings. Entry list Race calendar and results The seven-event calendar for the 2015 season was announced on 13 November 2015. It was held along with the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters at the Lausitzring. Championship standings ;Scoring system Championship points were awarded for the first ten positions in each race. Entries were required to complete 75% of the winning car's race distance in order to be classified and earn points. Individual drivers were required to participate for a minimum of 25 minutes in order to earn championship points in any race. Engstler Motorsport
Engstler Motorsport is a private German auto racing team based in Wiggensbach, run by driver Franz Engstler. It has competed successfully in the Asian Touring Car Championship and the ADAC Procar Series. It is sponsored by lubricants company Liqui Moly and known officially as Liqui Moly Team Engstler. World Touring Car Championship BMW 320i (2005, 2007) The team made its World Touring Car Championship debut in the end of season 2005 Guia Race of Macau, with two BMW 320is for Hong Kong driver Paul Poon and New Zealander Peter Scharmach. While Poon failed to qualify for the race, Scharmach finished 16th in the first race, but retired in the second. Timo Scheider
Timo Scheider (born 10 November 1978 in Lahnstein) is a German racing driver who competes in the FIA World Rallycross Championship for Münnich Motorsport. He won the DTM title in 2008 and 2009. Career Karting Like most other drivers, Scheider started his racing career in karting in 1989. In 1992, he went on to win the Kerpen Winter Cup and earned seventh place in the German Junior Kart NRW-Cup a year later. His seventh place disappointment led to success the next year when he won the cup. Formula Renault In 1995, Scheider joined the German Formula Renault 1800 championship and won it in his first year. Job van Uitert (born 10 October 1998 in Dongen) is a racing driver from the Netherlands. He is currently racing in the LMP2 class of the European Le Mans Series with Panis Racing. Early career Beginnings and Mazda MX-5 Cup Having come from a family of racing drivers, Van Uitert began racing in karts at the age of seven until pausing his career two years later due to his competitors benefitting from a high amount of "illegal equipment". He returned to racing in 2014, where he raced in the national Mazda MX-5 Cup. Having driven for Geva Racing, the Dutchman finished third in the standings. Fabio Scherer
Fabio Luca Scherer (born 13 June 1999) is a racing driver from Switzerland, currently competing in the endurance racing, representing Inter Europol Competition in the FIA World Endurance Championship. Scherer started his single-seater career in 2016, staying in Formula 4 series for two seasons. In 2018 he moved to 2018 FIA Formula 3 European Championship, racing for Motopark Academy. Scherer then competed for Charouz Racing System in the new FIA Formula 3 Championship for 2019. Since 2021 he competes in the endurance racing, taking on the FIA World Endurance Championship including 24 Hours of Le Mans, European Le Mans Series and IMSA SportsCar Championship. Jenzer Motorsport is an auto racing team based in Switzerland. Founded in 1993 by Andreas Jenzer the team is currently competing in FIA Formula 3, Italian F4 and F4 Spanish and has had a number of drivers who would turn out to be successful in motorsport, most notably Formula 1 driver Yuki Tsunoda. Sophia Flörsch (born 1 December 2000) is a German racing driver, currently competing in the European Le Mans Series with Algarve Pro Racing. She has previously raced in the DTM, the FIA World Endurance Championship and FIA Formula 3, and is a podium finisher in ADAC Formula 4 and the ELMS, as well as the youngest race winner of the Ginetta Junior Championship. Richard Verschoor
Richard Verschoor (born 16 December 2000) is a Dutch racing driver set to compete for Van Amersfoort Racing in the Formula 2 Championship. Verschoor graduated to Formula 2 in 2021 with MP Motorsport before switching to Charouz Racing System, after two years in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with MP Motorsport. Verschoor became the first Dutch driver to win the Macau Grand Prix, winning at his first attempt in 2019. Motopark Academy (raced under Lotus moniker from 2012 to 2014) is an auto racing team based in Oschersleben, Germany, next to the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben race track. Thomas Preining
Thomas Preining (born 21 July 1998) is an Austrian racing driver who is the 2018 German Porsche Carrera Cup champion. Career Formula 4 Preining's first season in single seaters was in 2015 with German team ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg where he competed at the first two rounds in the ADAC Formula 4 Championship where he got a podium in only his third race at this level at Oschersleben. Preining finished the season with 16 points. Preining competed in another F4 championship in 2015 where he raced at the first round in the Italian F4 Championship at Vallelunga with German team Mücke Motorsport. His best finish was 10th. In 2016 he returned to the ADAC F4 grid for the full season but this time racing for Austrian team Lechner Racing.
