Richard Verschoor
Richard Verschoor (born 16 December 2000) is a Dutch racing driver set to compete for Van Amersfoort Racing in the Formula 2 Championship. Verschoor graduated to Formula 2 in 2021 with MP Motorsport before switching to Charouz Racing System, after two years in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with MP Motorsport. Verschoor became the first Dutch driver to win the Macau Grand Prix, winning at his first attempt in 2019. He is a former Red Bull Junior Team member, the 2016 SMP F4 and Spanish F4 champion, where he won both single-seater championships in his debut year. Career Karting Verschoor started karting in 2011. He raced in several national karting series in the Netherlands from 2011 to 2013. In 2014, Verschoor moved to the European series where he won the CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy. Benschop, Utrecht
Benschop is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Lopik, and lies about 4 km west of IJsselstein. Benschop is an extremely long village: apart from a relatively compact town centre, it consists of a long ribbon (over 8 km long) of houses (mainly farms) on both sides of the Benschopsche Wetering. Until 1989, Benschop was a separate municipality. History The village was first mentioned between 1280 and 1287 as benscop, and means "(peat) concession of Ben (person)". Excavation of the peat started in the 11th and 12th century. Benschop used to be part of the Prince-Bishopric of Utrecht. In 1285, the village became part of Holland. 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship
The 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship was the eleventh season of the third-tier of Formula One feeder championship and also second season under the moniker of FIA Formula 3 Championship, a multi-event motor racing championship for single-seat open-wheel formula racing cars. The championship featured drivers competing in 3.4-litre Formula 3 racing cars which conformed to the technical regulations, or formula, of the championship. 2019 Macau Grand Prix
The 2019 Macau Grand Prix (formally the 66th Suncity Group Macau Grand Prix – FIA F3 World Cup) was a motor race for Formula Three cars held on the streets of Macau on 17 November 2019. Unlike past races, the 2019 Macau Grand Prix was held as a non-championship round of the FIA Formula 3 Championship, and was open to drivers from all Formula Three championships. The race itself was made up of two races: a ten-lap qualifying race that decided the starting grid for the fifteen-lap main event. The 2019 race was the 66th running of the Macau Grand Prix, the 37th for Formula Three cars and the fourth edition of the FIA F3 World Cup. Macau Grand Prix
The Macau Grand Prix ( pt, Grande Prémio de Macau; ) is a motorsport road race for automobiles and motorcycles held annually in Macau. It is the only street circuit racing event in which both cars and motorcycles participate, and one of only two current national Grand Prix events that are not part of the Formula One World Championship, the other being the New Zealand Grand Prix. The first Macau Grand Prix event was held in 1954, as a sports car event. In 1961, the title race became an open-wheel Formula Libre event. The 2016 ADAC Formula 4 season was the second season of the ADAC Formula 4. It began on 16 April at Oschersleben and finished on 2 October at Hockenheim after seven triple header rounds. 2016 F4 Spanish Championship
The 2016 F4 Spanish Championship was the inaugural season of the Spanish F4 Championship, a motor racing series regulated according to FIA Formula 4 regulations, taking place in Spain and Portugal. The championship featured drivers competing in 1.4 litre Tatuus-Abarth single seat race cars that conformed to the technical regulations for the championship. The series was organised by Koiranen GP and RFEDA. It began on 11 June at the Circuito de Navarra and finished on 16 October at the Circuito del Jarama after 20 races held across seven rounds. 2016 SMP F4 Championship
The 2016 SMP F4 Championship season is the second season of the SMP F4 Championship. It began on 29 April at Sochi and finished on 10 September at Ahvenisto after 20 races held across seven rounds. This season saw the F4 debut of the Dutch team MP Motorsport, which joined Koiranen GP and SMP Racing in fielding cars and drivers. The series also expanded to the Netherlands, hosting some races as well as a parallel championship to the SMP F4 championship, called the Dutch F4 Trophy. The series is a FIA North-European Zone (NEZ) championship as in 2015. NEZ Council agreed in its meeting in 20 March to allow KNAF licence holders to score points in the championship. The FIA World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) had already accepted KNAF into the NEZ F4 championship earlier in 4 March. 2018 Toyota Racing Series
The 2018 Castrol Toyota Racing Series was the fourteenth running of the Toyota Racing Series, the premier open-wheel motorsport category held in New Zealand. The series consisted of fifteen races at five meetings. It began on 13 January at Ruapuna Park in Christchurch, and concluded on 11 February with the 63rd running of the New Zealand Grand Prix, at Circuit Chris Amon in Feilding. M2 Competition driver Robert Shwartzman won the title, being the only driver who finished in the top-five every race of the season. 2018 Formula Renault Northern European Cup
The 2018 Formula Renault Northern European Cup was the thirteenth and the final Formula Renault Northern European Cup season, an open-wheel motor racing series. It was a multi-event motor racing championship that featured drivers competing in 2 litre Formula Renault single seat race cars that conform to the technical regulations for the championship. The championship title was won by German driver Doureid Ghattas, after recording five consecutive win. He won races at Hungaroring, Nürburgring and Hockenheim, finished 42 points clear of his closest rival and Anders Motorsport teammate, Phil Hill, who was the winner at Spa and Hockenheim. 2017 Formula Renault Northern European Cup
The 2017 Formula Renault Northern European Cup is the twelfth Formula Renault Northern European Cup season, an open-wheel motor racing series for emerging young racing drivers based in Europe.
