The 2015 season was the 110th season of competitive football in Norway. The season began in March, and ended on 22 November with the men's 2015 Norwegian Football Cup Final. 2015 Tippeligaen
The 2015 Tippeligaen was the 71st completed season of top-tier football in Norway. The competition began on 6 April 2015, one week later than in the previous season. A short summer-break in June was scheduled between the rounds played on 12 July and 26 July, and the decisive match was played on 8 November 2015. Molde were the defending champions. Sandefjord, Tromsø and Mjøndalen joined as the promoted clubs from the 2014 1. divisjon. They replaced Brann, Sogndal and Sandnes Ulf who were relegated to the 2015 1. divisjon. Sandefjord Fotball
Sandefjord Fotball, commonly known simply as Sandefjord, is a Norwegian professional football club, founded on 10 September 1998. The club currently competes in Eliteserien, the top tier of the Norwegian football league system. Their home ground is the Release Arena, located in Sandefjord, Vestfold. The club reached 1. divisjon in 1999, where they made quick progress and soon settled as strong competitors for promotion to the top division. Finishing third in 1. divisjon both in 2002 and 2003 they qualified for play-off matches, but lost both times. In 2004 they finished fourth. In 2005 season they placed second and earned automatic promotion to highest division. The club, in their first Tippeligaen season, finished ninth in the table and reached the cup final. Ivica Olić
Ivica Olić (; born 14 September 1979) is a Croatian professional football manager and former player who is an assistant coach of the Croatia national team. During his career, he played for German Bundesliga clubs such as Hamburger SV, VfL Wolfsburg and Bayern Munich, as well as CSKA Moscow, winning the 2004–05 UEFA Cup for the latter, and also for the Croatia national team. Ivan Perišić
Ivan Perišić (; born 2 February 1989) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays for Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and the Croatia national team. Usually deployed as a winger, he has also featured as an attacking midfielder, second striker, or wing-back. Known for his ambidexterity and versatility, he is considered to be one of the best wingers of his generation. A product of the Hajduk Split and Sochaux youth academies, Perišić made a name for himself while playing for Club Brugge, where he was the Belgian Pro League top goalscorer and was named Belgian Footballer of the Year for 2011. Marcelo Brozović
Marcelo Brozović (; born 16 November 1992) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for club Inter Milan and the Croatia national team. He represented his nation at the 2014, 2018 and 2022 editions of the FIFA World Cup, as well as the UEFA European Championship in 2016 and 2020. Brozović is often recognised as one of the world's best defensive midfielders. UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifying Group H
The UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying Group H was one of the nine groups to decide which teams would qualify for the UEFA Euro 2016 finals tournament. Group H consisted of six teams: Italy, Croatia, Norway, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, and Malta, where they played against each other home-and-away in a round-robin format. The top two teams, Italy and Croatia, qualified directly for the finals. As third-placed Norway weren't the highest-ranked among all third-placed teams, they advanced to the play-offs, where they lost to Hungary and thus failed to qualify. Avaldsnes Idrettslag is a Norwegian sports club from Avaldsnes, Karmøy, Rogaland. It was founded on 16 June 1937. The club has sections for football and handball. Women's football The women's team began play in 1989, winning the 1st Division of West Norway in 1997, before the team was dissolved in 1999 and then resurrected in 2002. The women's football team currently plays in the Toppserien, the first tier of Norwegian women's football, after promotion from the First Division in 2012, becoming the first club from Karmøy to play in the top league of any sport in Norway. Idrettslaget Sandviken is a Norwegian sports club from the neighborhood of Sandviken in Bergenhus borough, Bergen. It has sections for basketball, football and handball. The 2014 Toppserien is the twenty-eighth season of top-tier women's football in Norway since its establishment in 1987. A total of 12 teams are contesting the league, eleven returning from the 2013 season and the one teams promoted from the First Division, Grand Bodø. The season started on 21 April 2014 and ended on 1 November 2014. Sandnes Ulf
Sandnes Ulf is a Norwegian association football club from Sandnes, Rogaland, currently playing in the 1. divisjon, the second highest division in the Norwegian football league system. The club play their home matches at Øster Hus Arena. The club was founded on 1 June 1911 as SK Ulf, and today has over 80 registered teams, making it the largest football club in Rogaland. Sandnes Ulf play in light blue jerseys, white shorts and light blue socks. Sandnes Ulf is an open member association and the annual general meeting is the highest policy-making body. SK Brann
Sportsklubben Brann (commonly known as Brann, and less often as SK Brann) is a Norwegian professional football club, founded 26 September 1908, from Bergen. Brann had been in the Eliteserien, Norway's Premier Division of Football, since 1987, bar one season spent in the 1. divisjon in 2015, but they were relegated again in 2021. They play their home matches at Brann Stadion where they had a record-breaking 17,310 in average attendance in the 2007 season. In October 2007, Brann won the Norwegian league title for the first time since 1963.
