The 2015 Women's South American Volleyball Championship was the 31st edition of the Women's South American Volleyball Championship held in Cartagena, Colombia and organised by South America's governing volleyball body, the Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV). Brazil won its 19th title with Gabriela Guimarães being elected Most Valuable Player. Gabriela Guimarães
Gabriela Braga Guimarães, nickname Gabi, (born 19 May 1994) is a Brazilian indoor volleyball player. She plays as an outside spiker. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in the Volleyball at the 2020 Summer Olympics – Women's tournament, Women's tournament, winning a silver medal. Career Guimarães played with her national team, winning the bronze at the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship, 2014 World Championship when her team defeated Italy 3–2 in the bronze medal match. Fernanda Garay
Fernanda Garay Rodrigues (born May 10, 1986) is a retired Brazilian professional volleyball player who won the 2012 Summer Olympics gold medal and the silver medal at 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics with the Brazil national team. She is tall. She plays with Praia Clube. Career Garay is a sergeant and she played at the 2011 Military World Games volleyball tournament, winning the gold medal and the Most Valuable Player and Best Spiker individual awards. Playing with Sollys Nestlé Osasco, Garay won the gold medal in the 2012 FIVB Club World Championship held in Doha, Qatar. South American Men's Volleyball Championship
The Men's South American Volleyball Championship is the official competition for senior men's national volleyball teams of South America, organized by the Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol, CSV). The initial gap between championships was variable, but since 1967 Men's South American Volleyball Championship, 1967 they have been awarded every two years. The competition has been dominated by Brazil men's national volleyball team, Brazil, which won 33 of the 34 editions. The only tournament not won by Brazil was the 1964 championship, when the team did not compete due to 1964 Brazilian coup d'état, political turmoil in the country. Camila Gómez (born ) is a Colombian volleyball player for the Grand Rapids Rise of the Pro Volleyball Federation and the Colombia women's national volleyball team. She played the 2013 FIVB U20 World Championship and the 2015 FIVB U23 World Championship. She won the silver bronze medal in the 2015 South American Championship and the silver in the 2017 edition being awarded Best Libero in both senior tournaments. Playing with her under ages teams, she won the Best Libero award in the 2010 Junior South American Championship, 2014 and 2016 U22 South American Championship and was awarded Best Receiver in the 2013 Junior Pan-American Cup, while conquering all defensive awards, Best Libero, Best Digger and Best Receiver in the 2014 U23 Pan-American Cup. María Ángela Leyva Tagle (born November 22, 1996, in Lima, Peru) is a peruvian volleyball player who plays for the Peru national team. At the age of 14 she had already been in all categories of Peru's national team, Child (U16), Youth (U18), Junior (U20) and Senior. Leyva was captain of the team that won gold at the 2012 Youth South American Championship, the first gold medal for Peruvian volleyball in that category after 32 years and the first gold in any category in 19 years.
