Mariana Andrade Costa, also known as Mari Paraíba (born ) is a Brazilian female volleyball player. She is part of the Brazil women's national volleyball team. Campina Grande is the second most populous Brazilian city in the State of Paraíba after João Pessoa, the capital. 2017 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship
The 2017 FIVB Women's Club World Championship was the 11th tournament. It was held for the first time at Kobe Green Arena in Kobe, Japan. Eight teams competed in the tournament, including four wild cards. Vakıfbank İstanbul won their second world title, defeating Rio de Janeiro in the final, 3–0. The Brazilian Volleyball Super League ( pt, Superliga Brasileira de Voleibol) is the top level Brazilian professional volleyball competition. It is organized by the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation. It shares the same name as the men's tournament, and are disputed simultaneously. The number of participating clubs varies every year. The champion team qualifies for the South American Championship. History First competitions Until the early 1960s, there were only state volleyball competitions in Brazil. A national level competition was inconceivable, because of the geographical distances and lack of transportation infrastructure.
