The 2015 Military World Games ( ko, 2015년 세계 군인 체육 대회, Icheon sip-o nyeon segye gun-in cheyuk daehoe, 2015 World Military Sports Festival), officially known as the 6th CISM Military World Games ( ko, 제6회 세계 군인 체육 대회, Jeyukhoe segye gun-in cheyuk daehoe, 6th World Military Sports Festival) and also known as Mungyeong 2015 ( ko, 문경2015, Mungyeong Icheon sip-o), is hosted from October 2–11, 2015 in Mungyeong, South Korea. The games is the largest military sports event ever held in South Korea, with approximately 8,700 athletes from 110 countries competing in 24 sports. Mungyeong
Mungyeong ( ko, 문경 ' ()) is a city in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. The local government, economy, and transportation networks are all centered in Jeomchon, the principal town. Mungyeong has a lengthy history, and is known today for its various historic and scenic tourist attractions. The city's name means roughly "hearing good news." Recently, development has been somewhat stagnant with the decline of the coal industry. Andong
Andong () is a city in South Korea, and the capital of North Gyeongsang Province. It is the largest city in the northern part of the province with a population of 167,821 as of October 2010. The Nakdong River flows through the city. Andong is a market centre for the surrounding agricultural areas. Yecheon County is a county in the province of North Gyeongsang, South Korea. It is 661 km2 in area, and in 2004 had a population of 52,311. Sangju
Sangju () is a city in North Gyeongsang Province, central South Korea. Although Sangju is rather rural, it is very old and was once a key city. Along with Gyeongju, it gives rise to half of the name of the Gyeongsang provinces.
