The 2015 K League Classic was the 33rd season of the top division of South Korean professional association football, football, and the third season of the K League 1, K League Classic. The largest cities of South Korea have an autonomous status equivalent to that of provinces. Seoul, the largest city and capital, is classified as a ''teukbyeolsi'' ( Special City), while the next six-largest cities are classified as ''gwangyeoksi'' (Metropolitan Cities).
