2015 Egyptian Super Cup
The 2015 Egyptian Super Cup was the 13th edition of the Egyptian Super Cup, an annual football match between the winners of the previous season's Egyptian Premier League and Egypt Cup. The match is usually contested by the winners of the Premier League and the Egypt Cup, but since Zamalek SC, Zamalek won the double (2014–15 Egyptian Premier League and 2015 Egypt Cup), Al Ahly SC, Al Ahly qualified by default as the runners-up in both occasions. The match was played for the first time on international soil at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates, making it the first African super cup to be staged outside its home country and continent. 2014–15 Egyptian Premier League
The 2014–15 Egyptian Premier League was the 56th season of the Egyptian Premier League, the top Egyptian professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1948. The season started on 15 September 2014 and concluded on 3 August 2015. Teams A total of 20 teams contested the league, including 17 sides from the 2013–14 season and 3 promoted from the 2013–14 Egyptian Second Division. This includes the promotion play-off winners (Ala'ab Damanhour, Al Assiouty Sport and Al Nasr). Al Assiouty Sport and Al Nasr made their Premier League debut. Zamalek drew the highest attendance, 20,000 spectators in a match in February. Moamen Zakaria Abbas Eldawy ( ar, مؤمن زكريا عباس الداوي; born 12 April 1988) is an Egyptian former professional footballer who plays as a winger. In 2020, he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Abdallah Mahmoud Said Bekhit ( ar, عبد الله محمود السعيد بخيت; born 13 July 1985) is an Egyptian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder and captain for Pyramids and the Egypt national team. Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Abdel Hamid Soliman ( ar, محمود عبد المنعم عبد الحميد سليمان; born 13 April 1994), commonly known as Mahmoud Kahraba or simply Kahraba, is an Egyptian professional footballer who plays for Egyptian club Al Ahly SC and the Egypt national team. Omar Mahmoud El Sayed Gaber ( ara, عمر محمود السيد جابر; born 30 January 1992) is an Egyptian footballer who plays for Egyptian Premier League side Zamalek and the Egyptian national team mainly as a right-back but also sometimes as a midfielder.
