The mixed doubles tournament of the 2015 BWF World Championships (World Badminton Championships) took place from August 10 to 16. Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei enter the competition as the current champions. Istora Senayan
Gelora Bung Karno Sports Palace ( id, Istana Olahraga Gelora Bung Karno, abbreviated as ''Istora''), the formerly name ''Istora Senayan'' is an indoor sporting arena located in Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex, Jakarta, Indonesia. The capacity of the arena after 2018 reopening is 7,166. This arena is usually used for badminton tournaments. Its maiden event was the 1961 Thomas Cup. It was also used during the 1962 Asian Games and was renovated to host the 2018 edition. Its first post-renovation event was the 2018 Indonesia Masters. During the latter Games, it hosted the badminton and later stages of basketball events. The arena originally was planned to stage the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup and becoming the only Indonesian venue in the three-country joint bid but was moved to a newly-built arena inside the complex. Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja
Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja (born 28 December 1993) is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with PB Djarum since 2007. She was the 2011 Indonesian National Badminton Championships#Juniors, Indonesia National and 2011 BWF World Junior Championships, World Junior Champions in the mixed doubles event. For her achievements, Widjaja was awarded as the best Djarum player of the year. She won her first senior international title in 2014 Macau Open Grand Prix Gold. Edi Subaktiar
Edi Subaktiar (born 13 January 1994) is an Indonesian former badminton player specializing in doubles. He was the 2012 World Junior mixed doubles champion partnered with Melati Daeva Oktaviani. In the international competition, he was paired with Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja in mixed doubles and with Ronald Alexander in men's doubles. Since 2008, he joined PB. Djarum, a badminton club in Kudus, Central Java where his pair in mixed doubles Widjaja also joined. He retired in 2019 after a long injury which had prevented him to play again since it occurred at the 2017 SEA Games. Debby Susanto
Debby Susanto (born 3 May 1989) is an Indonesian former badminton player who specializes in doubles. She joined PB Djarum, a badminton club in Kudus, Central Java from 2006 until her retirement. Susanto known as Muhammad Rijal's longtime partner in the mixed doubles. The partnership ended in the end of the 2013 shortly after they won gold medal in 2013 Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar due to Rijal's resignation from national team. Since the beginning of 2014, she is pairing fellow Indonesian Praveen Jordan who was called up to the national team. Praveen Jordan
Praveen Jordan (born 26 April 1993) is an Indonesian badminton player who specialises in doubles. He is a two-time All England Open champion in mixed doubles, winning in 2016 with Debby Susanto and in 2020 with Melati Daeva Oktavianti. He has played for the badminton club PB Djarum since 2008. Career Junior career Jordan participated in 2011 Badminton Asia Junior Championships in Lucknow, India. In the mixed team event, he played in the men's doubles along with Rangga Yave Rianto. In the first round they won their match, with Indonesia defeating Nepal 5–0. He and Rianto played back against Hong Kong in the third round, winning their match and helping Indonesia win 4–1. Richi Puspita Dili (born 10 July 1989) is an Indonesian doubles specialist badminton player. She won the girls' doubles title at the 2007 Asian Junior Championships. Career Richi Puspita Dili was a member of SGS PLN Bandung club. In 2007, she won the girls' doubles title at the Asian Junior Championships partnered with Debby Susanto. Riky Widianto (born 28 December 1991) is an Indonesian badminton player who specializes in doubles play. Career Widianto career as a badminton player began in 2005 when Singapore Badminton Association (SBA) invited him to join the Singapore National Badminton Team while he was a member of Wima badminton club in Surabaya, Indonesia. He played in the open tournament under the Singapore flag although he was not a Singapore citizen. In 2009, he resigned from the national team and returned to Indonesia after he rejected an SBA proposal that he take citizenship, to be eligible to participate in the upcoming Southeast Asian Games, or return. Chau Hoi Wah
Chau Hoi Wah (Chinese: 周凱華, also known as Cathy Chau Hoi Wah; born 5 June 1986) is a Hong Kong badminton player, specializes in doubles play. She was the first ever Hong Kong player that won the Asian Championships in 2014, and also a bronze medalist at the World Championships in 2017 alongside Lee Chun Hei. Reginald Lee Chun Hei (, born 25 January 1994) is a Hong Kong badminton player. He is a former Asian Champion and World Championships bronze medalist in the mixed doubles category partnered with Chau Hoi Wah. Kim Ha-na (Hangul: 김하나; or ; born 27 December 1989) is a South Korean badminton player. She was the mixed doubles gold medalist at the 2013 Asian Championships, and was part of the national team that won the Sudirman Cup in 2017. Kim won her first Superseries title at the 2012 India Open in the women's doubles event. She reached a career high of world no. 1 in the mixed doubles in September 2016. Ko Sung-hyun
Ko Sung-hyun (Hangul: 고성현; ; born 21 May 1987) is a South Korean badminton player affiliated with Gimcheon City Hall. He is a former world number 1 both in the men's and mixed doubles. Ko is a BWF World Champion, two time Badminton Asian Champion, and Asian Games gold medalist. Ko started to get the attention of the World and Korean badminton when he won the bronze medal at the 2010 World Championships partnered with Ha Jung-eun. Competed in the men's doubles with Yoo Yeon-seong, Ko have achieved several milestones, including won the silver medals at the 2009 Asian and 2011 World Championships, reached a career high as world number 2 at the BWF world ranking.
