2014 PSL Season
The 2014 PSL Season was the second season of the Philippine Super Liga (PSL). There were two conferences for the season – the All-Filipino and the Grand Prix – for both women’s and men’s division. The All-Filipino Conference was held between May 16, 2014 to July 26, 2014 with the Generika-Army Lady Troopers and the PLDT Home TVolution-Air Force Power Attackers emerging as champions for the Women’s and Men’s divisions, respectively. The champions of the Grand Prix Conference - the Petron Blaze Spikers (women's) and the Cignal HD Spikers (men's) - will represent the Philippines in the 2015 AVC Club Volleyball Championships. Aleona Denise Santiago
Aleona Denise "Dindin" Antonio Santiago-Manabat (born September 26, 1993) is a Filipino volleyball player. She played in the UAAP during her collegiate years for the NU Lady Bulldogs and started her professional career in the Philippine Super Liga as the first overall pick in the 2014 season for Petron Blaze Spikers. Personal life Santiago was born on September 26, 1993, the third of five siblings. Her brother (Axel Leonard Santiago, a former member of the men's volleyball varsity team of National University "NU Bulldogs") is currently working in PLDT and her older sister is working in Dubai, while she and her sister, Alyja Daphne "Jaja" Santiago, are both playing for various women's volleyball club teams in different leagues. Jem Ferrer
Jamenea "Jem" Ferrer is a Filipina volleyball player. She was a 3-time UAAP best setter awardee while playing for the Ateneo university Lady Eagles volleyball team. She was a member of Fab 5 together with Dzi Gervacio, Fille Cainglet–Cayetano, Gretchen Ho and A Nacachi. Cagayan Valley Lady Rising Suns
The Cagayan Valley Lady Rising Suns were a professional women's volleyball team that played in various tournaments, including the Shakey's V-League and the Philippine Super Liga (PSL). The team was owned by the family of Alvaro Antonio (governor of the Province of Cagayan from 2007 to 2016) and managed by his daughter, Criselda Antonio (the incumbent mayor of Alcala, Cagayan and provincial sports coordinator for the Province of Cagayan), herself, a former volleyball player. The team became inactive since July 2015 due to management issues within the team.
