2014 Indonesia Super League
The 2014 Indonesia Super League was the sixth season of the Indonesia Super League (ISL), a fully professional football competition as the top tier of the football league pyramid in Indonesia. The season was scheduled to begin in January 2014, but in the end PSSI decided that the competition would begin on 1 February 2014 and possibly end on 7 November 2014. Competition schedule was released on 17 January 2014 by PT Liga Indonesia in Jakarta. Persipura were the defending champions, having won their fourth league title in 2013. This season saw the merging of the two professional leagues in Indonesia – Indonesian Premier League (IPL) and Indonesian Super League (ISL) – after the two competitions had run since 2011. It was decided that only four teams from the Premier League would join the new Super League. The 2013 Indonesia Super League was the fifth season of the Indonesia Super League (ISL), a fully professional football competition as the top tier of the football league pyramid in Indonesia. The season began on 5 January 2013. Sriwijaya were the defending champions, having won their second league title. This season was also the first season of ISL organized with authorization from the Joint Committee of PSSI until the establishment of a new league. After the signing of the MoU between Djohar Arifin Husin (PSSI) and La Nyalla Matalitti (KPSI-PSSI) that was initiated by FIFA and the AFC through the Asian Football Confederation's Task Force, now Indonesia Super League was under the control of the Joint Committee to remain manageable by ''PT Liga Indonesia'' until the establishment of a new professional competition by the committee. 2013 Liga Indonesia Premier Division (LI)
The 2013 Liga Indonesia Premier Division season is the eighteenth edition of Liga Indonesia Premier Division since its establishment in 1994. The competition is managed by PT. Liga Indonesia (LI). This season is the second season of Liga Indonesia Premier Division organised by PT.Liga Indonesia without authorisation from PSSI as it has decided to appoint the new PT. Liga Prima Indonesia Sportindo (LPIS) to organise the competition. It is then recognised by PSSI breakaway leadership under La Nyalla Matalitti. The Indonesian football champions are the winners of the highest league of Indonesian men's football, which since 2017 is the Liga 1. Perserikatan, an amateur inter-cities competition, was first established under auspices of the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) in 1930. From Indonesia's independence in August 1945 until the establishment of the semi-professional Galatama, Perserikatan was the premier club football competition in the country. Perserikatan and Galatama ran in parallel until 1994, when it was merged to form Liga Indonesia, the first professional football league in Indonesia.
