2014 FAI Cup
The 2014 FAI Senior Challenge Cup, also known as the 2014 FAI Ford Senior Cup, was the 94th season of the national football competition of the Republic of Ireland. The winners of the competition earned a spot in the first qualifying round of the 2015–16 UEFA Europa League. A total of 40 teams competed in the 2014 competition, which commenced in March 2014. The teams entered from the 2014 League of Ireland Premier Division and First Division received byes into the second round stage. Four non-league clubs also received byes to the second round. The remaining 12 teams entered at the first round stage. Mark Maurice Salmon (born 31 October 1988) is an Irish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He previously played for Wolverhampton Wanderers, Port Vale, Drogheda United, Athlone Town, Longford Town and Bray Wanderers. He helped Longford Town to finish as champions of the League of Ireland First Division in 2014. Career Salmon is a product of the Wolverhampton Wanderers academy, but after signing his first professional contract in February 2007, failed to make a first team appearance for the club. Carrigaline United Association Football Club is an Irish association football (soccer) club based in Carrigaline, County Cork. As of 2022, the club's men's team plays in the Munster Senior League Senior Premier Division. History The club was founded in 1972, and originally played at the Pottery Field, today the site of the Carrigaline Court Hotel. They moved to Ballea Park in 1985.
