2014 British Athletics Championships
The 2014 British Athletics Championships was the national championship in outdoor track and field for athletes in the United Kingdom, held 27–29 June 2014 at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. It was organised by UK Athletics. It served as a selection meeting for the 2014 European Athletics Championships. Conrad Williams (athlete)
Conrad Williams (born 20 March 1982) is a British track and field sprinter who competes in the 400 metres and 4×400 m relay. He holds a personal best of 45.02 seconds for the individual event. The majority of his success has come in relay events, where he has won eight senior international medals, including the gold medal for both England at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, and for Great Britain at the 2014 European Athletics Championships. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, although he did not advance beyond the semi-finals in the 400 m, he was part of the British team that came fourth in the men's 4 x 400 m. Lawrence Clarke (hurdler)
Sir Charles Lawrence Somerset Clarke, 7th Baronet, OLY (born 12 March 1990) is a former professional 110 m hurdler who finished fourth in the London Olympic Games 110 m hurdles final. He is the son of Sir Toby Clarke, 6th Baronet and succeeded to the baronetcy on his father's death in 2019. He served as Captain of the Great Britain Athletics Team at the 2015 European Athletics Indoor Championships and was coached in Bath by Malcolm Arnold. He was coached in Paris by Giscard Samba Koundys for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. He currently works for Citigroup in London. He is also a member of the American Roosevelt family. William Sharman
William "Will" Sharman (born 12 September 1984) is a British athlete who specialises in the 110 metres hurdles. He started his career as a junior high jumper and decathlete, but focused entirely on hurdling after a shoulder injury. He made his international debut for Great Britain at the 2006 European Athletics Championships and went on to compete at the 2007 Summer Universiade. Sharman came to prominence in 2009, after he significantly improved upon his previous personal best and finished fourth in the 110 metres hurdles final at the 2009 World Championships. This would be the first of three consecutive appearances in the World Championship final, he's since finished fifth in both the 2011 and 2013 finals. William Paulson (runner)
William Paulson (born 17 November 1994) is a middle-distance runner who competes for Canada. Paulson has dual Canadian-British citizenship, thanks to his French-Canadian mother and British father. Paulson was born in the UK and grew up in Tetbury, Gloucestershire and attended Leighterton Primary School and Pate's Grammar School, before going to Princeton for an undergraduate degree in biology. Paulson signed on to a one-year master’s program at Arizona State University in Phoenix. After competing in the NCAA he finished fifth in the indoor mile and fifth in the outdoor 1,500m in 2019. Paulson holds the Arizona State University record for fastest mile, running a time of 3:58.07 indoors in February 2019. Paulson won the Canadian 1,500m title in 2019 and also won a bronze medal at the 2019 Pan American Games. Charlie Grice
Charles Da'Vall Grice (born 7 November 1993), informally known as Charlie Grice, is a British middle distance athlete. Athletics career Grice started out as both a footballer, playing at county level, and an athlete, but balancing them both led to injuries and he decided to solely focus on athletics. He had a breakthrough in 2010, when he broke the English Schools' Athletics Association Championships record in the final of the 1500 metres as well as taking the title. He went on from this to win bronze at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics in the 1000 metres, after coming second at the European Trials event in Russia. In 2012 he broke Steve Ovett's British junior mile record, running 3:57.90 at the London Grand Prix in Crystal Palace as part of the Diamond League. Andrew Osagie
Andrew Osagie (born 19 February 1988 in Harlow, Essex) is an English athlete who specialises in the 800 metres. He represents Harlow Athletic Club at club level and Great Britain at international level. He is the fourth fastest Briton of all time. While attending St Mary's University College he made rapid progress to win his first national titles and international medals. Osagie has performed well indoors, winning bronze medals at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in 2012 and 2014, as well as ranking second on the British Indoor All-Time list. In the men's 800 metres final at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, he finished eighth in a time of 1:43.77. This time would have won gold in all but two other Olympic Games, but the winner David Rudisha set a world record and the remaining medallists set the fastest time for place in the event.
