Andrew Osagie
Andrew Osagie (born 19 February 1988 in Harlow, Essex) is an English athlete who specialises in the 800 metres. He represents Harlow Athletic Club at club level and Great Britain at international level. He is the fourth fastest Briton of all time. While attending St Mary's University College he made rapid progress to win his first national titles and international medals. Osagie has performed well indoors, winning bronze medals at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in 2012 and 2014, as well as ranking second on the British Indoor All-Time list. In the men's 800 metres final at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, he finished eighth in a time of 1:43.77. This time would have won gold in all but two other Olympic Games, but the winner David Rudisha set a world record and the remaining medallists set the fastest time for place in the event. Harlow, Essex
Harlow is a large town and local government district located in the west of Essex, England. Founded as a new town, it is situated on the border with Hertfordshire and London, Harlow occupies a large area of land on the south bank of the upper Stort Valley, which has been made navigable through other towns and features a canal section near its watermill. The 14th IAAF World Championships in Athletics (Moscow 2013) () was an international athletics competition held in Moscow, Russia, from 10–18 August 2013. Initially, Russia won the most gold medals to top the table for the first time since 2001. It was also the first time ever the host nation took the top of the medal table. The athletics competition at the 2010 Commonwealth Games was held in New Delhi, India between 6 and 14 October. The track and field events took place between 6–12 October at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium while the marathon contests were held on a street course running through the city on 14 October.
