Ethiopian Premier League
The Ethiopian Premier League ( Amharic:የኢትዮጵያ ፕሪምየር ሊግ), known as the BetKing Ethiopian Premier League for sponsorship reasons, is the top tier association football league of Ethiopia run by the Ethiopian Premier League Share Company (formerly the Ethiopian Football Federation from 1997 to 2020). Established in 1997 (1990 E.C.), it replaced the former first division (est. 1944). Contested by sixteen clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the other secondary and tertiary leagues in Ethiopia. The 2014 CAF Confederation Cup (also known as the 2014 Orange CAF Confederation Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the 11th edition of the CAF Confederation Cup, Africa's secondary club football competition organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The defending champions CS Sfaxien did not enter the tournament as they qualified for the 2014 CAF Champions League and reached the group stage. The 2014 CAF Champions League (also known as the 2014 Orange CAF Champions League for sponsorship reasons) was the 50th edition of Africa's premier club football tournament organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), and the 18th edition under the current CAF Champions League format. The two-time defending champions Al-Ahly were eliminated in the second round by Al-Ahly Benghazi. Sodo
Sodo ( am, ሶዶ) or Wolaita Sodo ( am, ወላይታ ሶዶ) or ( Wolaytatto: ''Wolayta Sodo Ambbaa'') is a city in south-central Ethiopia. The administrative center of the Wolaita Zone. Hawassa ( am, አዋሳ; ʾäwasa, also spelled Awassa or Awasa) known historically as Adare is a city in Ethiopia, on the shores of Lake Awassa in the Great Rift Valley. Sidama Coffee Sport Club (Amharic: ሲዳማ ቡና ስፖርት ክለብ, Sidama Buna Sport Club), also known as Dara kenema, is a professional football Club based in Sidama Municipality of Ethiopia. The club plays in the Ethiopian Premier League, the top division of Ethiopian football. History Sidama Coffee Soccer Club was founded on August 27, 2006 (1999 E.C.) as Dara Kenema. Ethiopians are the native inhabitants of Ethiopia, as well as the global diaspora of Ethiopia.
